A story of hope and perseverance.
Earlier this year, we reported on the Nkuna family in Madras, Mpumalanga.
The family of 10 lived in a dilapidated one-room shack.
They have been waiting more than 10 years for a RDP house.
And tonight, they will finally be sleeping warmly in their five-room house.
But as SABC News' Tumelo Machogo reports it was a bittersweet moment.

Teaching and learning remain halted at Estralita Special School in Lydenburg, Mpumalanga.
The school has not been fully operational since May last year.
This, after school supporting stuff that include cleaners, kitchen and hostel staff down tools, demanding better working conditions.
They're also accusing the principal of nepotism, mismanagement of funds and not addressing claims of racism.
Estralita Special School is one of few special schools for severe intellectual disable children.

At the oldest known cave in the world - Sudwala Cave in Mbombela Mpumalanga.
Like their ancestors, a group of artists are telling stories though poetry, dance and music.

Police have arrested a 55-year-old man believed to have brutally murdered a family of four in Mkhondo, Mpumalanga.
A mother and her three children were allegedly hacked to death.
The 47-year-old mother, her 11-year-old twins boy and her 6-year-old daughter were discovered by police on Friday night.
The family and the suspect are from neighbouring eSwatini.

Two additional suspects aged 30 and 38 are appearing before the Piet Retief Magistrate’s Court in connection with the murder of councillor Sbonelo Mthembu Ntshangase and two of his friends. The suspects were arrested yesterday at Mkhondo and they confessed to the killing.
More suspects are expected to be arrested soon.

The Lebombo Border Post between Mozambique and South Africa will now operate 24 hours a day. Authorities of both countries made the announcement of their bilateral agreement in Ressano Garcia, Mozambique. The Border Management Authority Commissioner Dr Nakampe Masiapato says the agreement will boost the economies of both countries. Masiapato further says the long term plan is to convert the Lebombo Port of Entry as a one stop-border-post.

There are calls to support families whose children have cerebral palsy, especially those from poor backgrounds. This is to alleviate their daily struggles of caring for children with cerebral palsy. Sibongile Ndlovu lives in Mbuzini in Mpumalanga near the border with Mozambique and has a child with cerebral palsy. She says it's difficult to work and look after her child as she requires more.

A new political party, Swaziland Liberation Movement (SWALIMO) has been officially launched by the former member of the Kingdom of Eswatini's parliament, Mduduzi Simelane. He says among those who are expected to occupy top positions of the party include the arrested members of parliament, Bacede Mabuza and Mthandeni Dube. Simelane who is also known as Magawugawu will be the interim president of SWALIMO until an elective conference is held.

ESwatini unrest | Swaziland Stakeholder Forum has rejected the isiyaba as a form of national dialogue in eSwatini.
King Mswati III has called isibaya or a kraal meeting with citizens and pro-democracy groups.
This following the visit by SADC Troika delegation to the tiny kingdom.
The delegation was sent by President Cyril Ramaphosa in his capacity as the Chairperson of SADC Organ on Defence, Police and Security Cooperation.
Eswatini has seen unprecedented protest action since June, with citizens calling for democratic reform.

The Mpumalanga High Court in Mbombela has issued a warrant of arrest against murder accused, Mugiyo Mabunda who is on trial for allegedly fatally shooting his wife.

This after Mabunda failed to appear in court today. His legal representative told the court that he could not appear because he is ill.

The warrant of arrest was the withheld until Wednesday. Mabunda pleaded guilty to the murder of his wife Tebogo Mabunda last week.

Heavy and strong winds have left a trail of destruction in Tekwane North, Tekwane South, Pienaar and Kabokweni in Mpumalanga.

Mugiyo Mabunda, accused of killing his wife, Tebogo Mabunda in Mbombela, Mpumalanga has pleaded not guilty to the murder charge. Mabunda is being tried at the Mpumalanga High Court.

He allegedly shot his wife outside their home before attempting to commit su***de last year. One of the state witnesses, Ntombikayise Nkosi who was their domestic worker was the first to testify in court.

Meanwhile, members of the National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union are picketing outside the court premises in support of the deceased's family.
