Open Call for Poetry and Short Stories Submission
IKhambi Writers Hub invites young writers from South Africa between the ages of 18 and 30 years, to submit poems and short stories written in Nguni languages; isiZulu, isiXhosa, isiNdebele and isiSwati to be published on IKhambi Literary Journal themed “Ndingubani/ Who Am I‘’.
“There are great stories that are left untold due to the lack of opportunities for writers who write in their indigenous languages and I believe that having a platform that represents Nguni writers, the youth will go back to their villages in search of their home brewed stories. As per our company name, “IKhambi” we are looking forward to healing and restoring the nation trough stories told by the youth of South Africa.” ~ Kwazi Ndlangisa (Managing Director of IKhambi Writers Hub)
Short Stories and poems selected will be featured on IKhambi Literary Journal with their English translation and each author will receive two copies of the Journal once it’s published. Writers own copyrights of their written work.
