- open to over-18’s
- living anywhere in South Africa
- scripts can be completed, partial or an idea
- and in any South African language
- five finalists will win R5000 and have their scripts mentored to completion
- one overall winner will win an additional R20 000 and have their work produced and presented at the National Arts Festival
