What a day for 2 of our Team South Africa athletes!! Karla Victor of Oranje Meisieskool in Bloemfontein and Ethan Kulsen of Klein Nederburg SS in Paarl, had the esteemed honour of carrying our nation's flag at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Youth Games 2023 in Trinidad and Tobago. Mr Barry Hendricks, Sascoc president, presented them with the flag at a special occasion in both Trinidad and in Tobago.

Parasport doesn’t get enough coverage in our country, yet, every 4 years, the sport brings in the most medals at the Paralympic Games. Anrune Weyers unexpectedly displayed so much emotion after winning in very tough conditions. Keeping your athlete in your viewfinder and not getting distracted, is paramount in capturing these iconic images.
