Vision to Reality!

It’s amazing to see this space now fully built and functioning exactly as the designers and architects envisioned.

We’re thrilled to announce that the newly updated Wits Anglo Digital Dome is up and running and will open to the public next month! VR Capture had the honor of creating the launch video, marking the beginning of a new era in immersive learning and exploration. From producing the last show in the old planetarium to launching the first in the new dome, we’re excited to bring inspiring stories of our universe, our planet, and ourselves to life in full-dome format. This is a fantastic step forward for the South African full-dome industry, and we can’t wait for the incredible journeys ahead! ✨

We had the amazing honor of meeting his Majesty King Misuzulu kaZwelithini at his Royal Palace a few days ago! We were also joined by the Amazulu Prime Minister Thulasizwe Buthelezi.
💧 We chatted about the environmental issues in KwaZulu-Natal, and he praised the work we do VR Capture, especially the Umfula VR project. Hearing such positive feedback from the King himself was incredible!
This is definitely a memory I’ll cherish forever. KwaZulu-Natal has so much natural and cultural history, and we’re excited to keep sharing its stories.

Just had the most mind-blowing experience at Dome Fest West 🚀
The artistry and storytelling in the films were absolutely fantastic. Being inside the Fiske Planetarium was unreal. That 8K projection and surround sound were next level!

The films screened were so inspiring. We must be doing something right if we were selected to be part of this festival. Can't wait to bring some fresh creations next year!

Take a look at our final community screening of Umfula - Echoes of the River held at St Lucia last week. What an incredible journey it has been over the past few weeks! We are grateful for the opportunity to have shared this experience. A big thank you to National Film and Video Foundation for their support in helping us achieve our goal of spreading this crucial message about the urgent need for nature and water conservation through our cinematic VR experience.
