Cape Flats Radio Team partnered with Amirah Govender in "Mimi's Sanitary Pad Drive initiative", we delivered much needed sanitary towels to various schools in Strandfontein and Mitchell's Plain.

We at Cape Flats Radio , would like to continue our support with this sanitary drive initiative.

Your contribution will go a long way in helping improve the overall health and wellbeing of girls on the Cape Flats.

How can you help?

By donating towards this worthy cause,
there are various outlets that sell these products at only R5 a packet.

Cape Flats Radio on the ground in Mitchell's Plain, at a protest lead by the community of Mitchells Plain, initiated by the Capeflats Safetyforum infront of Mitchells Plain SAPS.

The purpose of the protest was in regards to the 15 Stolen Fi****ms and 8 Imitation weapons

The fi****ms and ammunition were booked out by investigating officers to be taken for forensic analysis.

“These exhibits, however, did not arrive at the police laboratory,”

They handed a memorandum to the Station Commander of Mitchells Plain SAPS by Chairperson of Cape Flats Safety Forum, Abie Isaacs and SAPS Mitchell's Plain

We will keep you updated on any developments on the matter.

Some collectors of books tend to arrange their collections so their spines can be admired pleasantly. Others have a system of organization that results in an alternative art form. However our books are organized on the shelf, they are meant to be photographed and shared on social media.

Library Shelfies offer book stores, libraries, schools, and individuals an opportunity to express their reading preferences through a single photograph.
Whether you frame your favorite authors, titles, genres or cover art, readers share a bit of their library in creative ways. With or without dust jackets, signed and unsigned, dogeared and in mint condition, bibliophiles love books of all kinds.

HOW TO OBSERVE LIBRARY SHELFIE DAY
Whether you have a small library with a few select favorites or are a true bibliophile, arrange your collection on a shelf and take a picture.
Express your inner artist! Build a tower of babbling books or a wall of words. Invite others to join you in your aesthetically pleasing book-building adventure.

Some suggestions include:

Arrange by color
Order books by height, thickness, width
Arrange book titles so they send a message
Stack books artistically
Place books in the order in which they were read
Rely on the good ol' alphabetical order by author
Display a biography only shelfie
