Estate Life Publishing (Pty) Ltd has its roots in the publishing of digital estate magazines since 2016.

In association with Trafalgar Property Management and Estatemate, developers of a mobile property management app, Estate Life now expands its offering to a much larger base of sectional title complexes and residential estates.

Editor, Maggie van der Bilt, combines her insight gained as both a director and resident of a secure residential estate with more than three decades as a journalist and editor, to produce a much-needed magazine which speaks to the needs, interests and challenges common to residents in any residential community, be it a luxurious lifestyle estate or smaller sectional title complex.

Estate Life addresses issues typically experienced in any residential housing community, such as the many issues that fall under neighbour law (noise, pets, property encroachment etc) and guidance on why, when and how to use the Community Schemes Ombuds Service (CSOS).

Articles addressing common misconceptions surrounding, among others, general safety, the limitations of insurance, the freedom (and limitations) of HOA’s to levy fines and questions such as ‘Who owns our roads?’ will provide extremely valuable insight into the privileges and responsibilities that come with the sharing of common property in residential communities.

Any home owner also needs down-to-earth, practical advice on all the things that make a house a home. Estate Life will include ‘How to fix it’ articles, from burst geysers, to drought-stricken gardens, crazy pets (and even kids;-). Yes, humour plays a role and we’re proud to count veteran humourist, James Clarke, in our line-up of contributors.
