What a pleasure for me to introduce this next artist, because she really is one. She is an award-winning journalist and author who says the thing she fears most, apart from complex algebraic equations, is BOREDOM. Happily, there’s very little chance of that, since she’s also a voice artist, singer, guitarist, ceramicist (yes that is a thing), a mother of two and a writing coach, who believes that the greatest blessing of all is having a story to tell. And what a story she has to tell you.
Doug Batchelor
I’m always amazed listening to our next speaker. His knowledge, his understanding of the way things work, and his level of experience when it comes to technology, and his positive mindset. He is a technologist. A futurist. His innovative insights and solutions when it comes to technology probably have something to do with that fact that he has worked in IT since before the invention of Windows, and why he worked at Microsoft for over 10 years. He pioneered the world’s first connections of ATM machines via satellite for a South African bank. He also, incidentally, beat stage 3 colon and bladder cancer which required major surgery and chemotherapy, and has just had his 5-year check up - still all clear.

As a toddler, our next speaker was climbing land rovers on African adventures, refusing to wear shoes while trudging through snow (even in the height of German winters). She has always been strong willed with an adventurous spirit. As a young adult, she navigated through some extremely dark personal times but adventure managed to find its way back to her life in a big way. She is essentially a vegan mountain goat who has never worn a watch in her life. She prides herself on her dedication to a holistic approach to life, focusing on training her body, mind and her spirit intuitively, listening to what they’re telling her, which has allowed her not only to overcome the greatest of personal difficulties in her life, but also to summit the greatest mountains in the world.
