From generation to generation, there's something that was inherited. Things that we are proud of and things are there but we don't wish to talk about because we can not address our elders without them getting angry, so we choose to "mize it" (turn a blind eye on it). Yet we are aware of the scars it leaves behind and the very same scars we pass from one generation to another. Let us heal from past pains, so we protect our children from re-living the life that might send us to the grave with bleeding hearts

I will get straigt to the point. In your book you spoke about self talk, doesn't that make you conclude things that are not as they appear? Maybe I did not understand what sort of Selftalk you are refering to. Please elaborate

One thing that I have realised is the fact that we do not take into consideration the wound we leave on others that we have done wrong. Saying sorry forgive me, it's human enough but the wound caused take time to heal.
Then we tend to call people names and say they are acting up, do you think a wounded soldier would go back to war will the same mentality? No! There is something that he learned in the past that he would not miss nor repeat now.

Things like:

1. Setting bounders, they might be close to you but not as before.
2. Watch what they say, they will never be fully open to you as they were last time.
3. Definately keep their distance, no hard feelings but its a defence machanism used by everyone to protect themselves from recieving pain again.
4. Less encounters, they are normally scared to create or rebuild the bond because they do not feel safe.

So incase you are in this situation,

1. have you ever asked the person how they really feel about you?
2. Have you sat down and wonder why you are back together but things are not the same?
3. Have you ever sat down and ask yourself the damage you caused in their lives?

After all that questions asked do you think they are acting up?

Do not assume "yes, I forgive you is still forgive you" means they are fully okey. They are walking into recovery, it is not a one day scene it might take years to reach the final destination.

" I screamed louder, and all he did was laugh. He picked me up, and I thought he would hug me to soothe the pain away as he would normally do after beating me up. But this time, it was not like that.

He tossed me against the wall, and my head banged hard against it. I felt my bones making a sound I have never heard before. All of a sudden, I could not feel myself; every part of my body was numb. I was convinced my spine was broken; the strength was no longer in me. I could feel my nose breathing out the last air. I had no life in me. I closed my eyes, and all I could see was my late sister’s coffin going down the grave. I saw my mom’s face filled with agony; I prayed to God to save me from death:

“Father, I am her only surviving daughter. For her sake, keep me alive.”

I then closed my eyes, and when I woke up, it was daylight, and I was alone in the flat with an open sliding door. I knew the Lord had answered my silent prayer. I was alive.
