Small Business Showcase Video: Safesnap
Child abduction.
This phrase probably strikes fear into your heart. Especially if you’re a parent.
That’s what it did for small business owner Adrian Broom anyway. Which is why he launched a revolutionary app designed to tackle all sorts of public safety issues.
It’s called SAFESnap and we love it.
It allows everyone from complete strangers in your running club to your overwhelmed child dealing with dad’s stroke to access the help they need STRAIGHT AWAY. What’s more? It’s easy to use and registration is free. Even better? By registering, you’re a part of a community-led solution to an “everybody” problem.
Watch the video and find out more about SAFEsnap’s many features. Believe Adrian when he says that it’s “not just another panic app.”
Be smart, get safe: https://safesnap.co.za/
Thank you, Sasfin, for helping us get the news out there on epic and altruistic entrepreneurs like Adrian Broom!

Small Business Showcase Video: Mandela Day with Sasfin and Cakey by Davy
Mandela Day...WOW...
Yesterday, the team was invited to join Sasfin at their offices for Mandela Day. They partnered with Fingertips of Africa, the Sewing Academy, and 19th Avenue Kitchen to create a few special activities that would make a difference to the lives of those in need.
We loved everything about the day so we brought our camera gear to document this special occasion.
What made the day really special for us?
Sasfin invited fellow small business owner Davy from CAKEY BY DAVY to bake 670 cupcakes for the day...Think icing for days, branded aprons, and a whole lot of enthusiasm and "gees".
Take a look at the final video below...What an experience!

Creating content is a passion of ours!
Creating content for small businesses that we think NEED to be SEEN and EXPERIENCED, is what we do best.
We love telling incredible stories and sharing journeys along the way.
Our creative juices are flowing and thought we'd share the fun we had creating this for our website...all inspired by the businesses we support, and think you should too.

The Small Business Showcase website is live!
THE SMALL BUSINESS SHOWCASE WEBSITE IS LIVE!
Our team have been working so hard to get the first version of the new Small Business Showcase website up and it's finally live!
Please go check it out: www.smallbusinessshowcase.co.za
We will be adding new listings to the site each day. If you have a small business, or you know someone else who does, please tag them in the comments section. We are happy to add small businesses to the site at no cost, but there is a bit of a vetting process!
WHAT IS THIS SITE ALL ABOUT?
Although we've recorded over 60 episodes of the #SmallBusinessShowcase over the last two years, we wanted to raise the stakes a little.
The Small Business Showcase exists to find quality small businesses in South Africa and then list them on this site so that people who want to support small businesses can find them in one central place. Think of us as a small business online directory.
Added to this, our goal is to promote quality small businesses to the masses across South Africa and get people to shift spending toward these small businesses. We want to be the driving force behind small businesses in South Africa.
The way we believe we will achieve this is by creating epic content about small businesses and using that content to tell cool stories about these small businesses in a way that will encourage all South Africans to support small businesses that are doing incredible things.
Lastly, can't say thank you to Sasfin enough for all their help. Without them, none of this would be possible. They have been a true and consistent supporter of small businesses in SA!
PS. Please help us share this post with your network! This is such an easy way to support small businesses without spending a cent!
