Good afternoon,

Like lots of kids, my children use social media but they are not hearing, let alone seeing people who look like and speak like them. What's the 'cost' to my children's young minds if they continually consume content from people who don't share their backgrounds or are from different environments?

So, with that in mind, AfriChi TV set upon its journey to offer edutainment for young minds producing 'local' content where they can hear (and in time, see), themselves, helping to normalise their voices in a regional and global context.

This phonic alphabet was produced with drawings and recordings from my daughter's class. Please do share this link and I look forward to holding a creative workshop near you where we can let other children's voices shine.

Sometimes dreams take time to grow and it's okay.

This story was produced from the first time I took the story recording/sharing concept into a school setting. 26 kids paring up and coming into where I was based to record stories. (It was the first time some of these brilliant souls had ever used a microphone.) It was positive carnage (if such a thing is possible.) They loved it, I loved it and I hope you love it.

When I started with this idea, with just my kids, I dreamt about offering schools such a service - nationwide, and then across the continent.

Sometimes dreams take time to grow and it's okay - never stop dreaming.
