Does anyone remember this (awful yet classic) rhyme/rap radio ad from the 90s? It was for Lombard Tyres, and flighted profusely on 94.7 and 702 back in the day:

"Well I'm an alien from outer space,
And I'm truing real hard to get out of this place
But my tyres are flat and my alignment's wrong
I need a wheel balance that won't take too long
So I took my ship down to Lombard in town
And Had my Goodyears on before the sun went down
And that's the story of my trip to Earth
And how I got my money's worth, at
LOMBARD TYRES"

If you're a human with functioning ears that grew up in 80s or 90s South Africa, your inner-monologue is most likely set to a backing track of permanently looped advertising jingles. We think it's a lost art that we'd like to bring back.

We've had "Oh boy! Mom remembered Melrose!" and "Sometimes you need a little Finesse, and sometimes you need a lot!" stuck in our heads for a few decades now. Which jingles regularly haunt your subconscious?
