George McLaurin, the first black man admitted to the University of Oklahoma in 1948, was forced to sit in a corner far from his white classmates.

But his name remains on the honor roll as one of the three best students of the university. These are his words: "Some colleagues would look at me like I was an animal, no one would give me a word, the teachers seemed like they were not even there for me, nor did they always take my questions when I asked. But I devoted myself so much that afterwards, they began to look for me to give them explanations and to clear their questions."

Lesson: Forcing yourself to be accepted by people is a waste of time. Just focus and add value to yourself and people shall come seeking your help...

MONTHS after Muammar Gaddafi's son suggested he may run for president, Libya’s UN-backed government has issued an arrest warrant against him on charges of war crimes allegedly committed by shadowy Russian mercenaries.

The order for Saif al-Islam Gaddafi’s arrest was made public after the British broadcaster(BBC) published an investigation into possible war crimes committed by the Russian private military contractor known as Wagner.

The 49-year-old, who before 2011 had been seen as his father's presumed successor, said politicians in the decade since have brought Libyans "nothing but misery".

He was a part of his father's inner circle, performing public relations and diplomatic roles on his behalf.

"It is time for a return to the past. The country is on its knees. There's no money, no security. There's no life here," Saif al-Islam said in his first appearance in years.

JAMAICA CELEBRATED THEIR EMANCIPATION DAY ON 1st AUGUST 🇯🇲

On August 1, 1838, thousands of ex-slaves who had gathered at town centres and churches in Jamaica, broke into joyous celebration after hearing the final words of the Emancipation Declaration, affirming their full freedom from slavery.
This momentous date represented the abolition of the dehumanising system which had enslaved people of African descent in the British colony for over 150 years.

South Africa's former president Jacob Zuma has mounted a last-minute legal bid to avoid prison after the country's top court ordered him jailed for failing to appear before graft investigators.

In a landmark ruling, the Constitutional Court on Tuesday handed Zuma a 15-month term for contempt after he snubbed a probe into the theft of state assets under his tenure.

If the 79-year-old fails to turn himself in by Sunday, police will be given a further three days to arrest him and take him to jail to start the sentence.

Former President Of South Africa, Jacob Zuma Sent To Prison

Jacob Zuma, the 79-year-old former President of South Africa, was sentenced to prison for contempt of court.

Zuma was sentenced to 15 months in prison on Tuesday for refusing to appear before an anti-corruption panel investigating corruption charges against him.

FORMER IVORY Coast President Laurent Gbagbo has returned home, 10 years after he was taken to the ICC on charges of crimes against humanity.

His arrest alongside his wife Simone in April 2011 was a humiliating affair. They were picked from a hotel room looking dishevelled.

Gbagbo's refusal to accept defeat in a 2010 election triggered a civil war that left 3,000 people dead.

Teach your children these important words.

Things you need to teach your Child(ren) at early age:

1: Warn your children NEVER to sit on anyone's laps no matter the situation including other relatives and friends of family.

2: Avoid Getting Dressed in front of your child once he/she is 2 years old. Learn to excuse them or yourself.

3. Never allow any adult refer to your child in the intimate way as "my wife" or "my husband". This includes, boo thang, my man or woman, my boyfriend or girlfriend, etc.

4. Whenever your child goes out to play with friends make sure you look for a way to find out what kind of play they do, because young people now s*xually abuse themselves (ma********on) and influence others as well or do to your child what's been done to them.

5. Never force your child to visit any adult he or she is not comfortable with and also be observant if your child becomes too fond of a particular adult.

6. Once a very lively child suddenly becomes withdrawn you may need to patiently ask lots of questions from your child.

7. Carefully educate your grown ups about the right values of s*x . If you don't, society will teach them the wrong values. Also teach your children the proper names of their genitalia. Not pee-pee, cookie, lil w***y, poo-poo, or stuff.

8: It is always advisable you go through any new Material like cartoons you just bought for them before they start seeing it themselves. A lot of things have hidden messages that you think your children don't see.

9. Ensure you activate parental controls on your cable networks and advise your friends especially those your child(ren) visit(s) often.

10. Teach your 3 year olds how to wash their private parts properly and warn them never to allow anyone touch those areas and that includes you (remember, charity begins at home and with you).

11: Blacklist some materials/associates you think could threaten the sanity of your child (this includes music, movies and even friends and families).

12. Let your child(ren) understand the value of standing out of the
crowd.

13: Once your child complains about a particular person, don't keep quiet about it. Take up the case and show them you can defend them. Remember, we are either parents or parents-to-be.
