A couple of weeks ago some of the Made Films gang went to watch Damien Chazelle's 'Babylon'. An epic paean to the birth and evolution of cinema starring Margot Robbie, Brad Pitt and Tobey Maguire, it was a mixed bag: thrillingly choreographed scenes of excess dragged down, at times, by a plodding script and a self-indulgent ending. Entertainment correspondent Kevin Polowy called it "...truly the strangest, most debaucherous love letter to Hollywood ever.'
