The process may seem daunting, but please allow the Municipality some time to reach your specific area and wait until you see the two update codes with your purchase. KLEINMOND - Die liggaampie van die 7-jarige dogtertjie wat Sondag hier vermis geraak het terwyl sy saam met haar maatjies
At around 2pm yesterday afternoon, the NSRI was called out to the main beach at Kleinmond, where a 17-year-old schoolboy from Montagu had disappeared under the water. The boy was part of a church group that apparently stayed in Kleinmond at the weekend.
Three of the boys apparently walked out onto the sand bank next to the river mouth when the boy suddenly disappeared under the water. The NSRI as well as a helicopter searched for over 3 hours, without any success.
While the drama unfolded at the main beach, the NSRI had another emergency callout. This time there was a drowning at the Palmiet River mouth. Three children were playing in the lagoon when a seven-year-old girl, who was apparently visiting family in Over Hills, was washed away.
The NSRI began searching almost immediately, but could find no sign of her.
The search for the two missing children continues today.
