It makes my heart so happy to hear words like these and know that I made a difference for my client🥰

I did an audit of her current social media presence and we had a in-depth chat about her customers, audience and business goals. I then prepared a proposal, we came to an agreement and I spent some time researching her industry and built a strategy for her.

She also felt like she was running out of content ideas, so we put together a content calendar that she could adapt into her current schedule with content pillars, story strategy and a few suggestions to keep her content on-brand.

An important part of your strategy are Content Pillars. They are the main topics that your social media content will be built on. There is a lot of advice and ideas around what these content pillars should be and it can be confusing at times.

My advice for small business owners or creators just starting out would be to not get overwhelmed and to start with the 3 main Content Pillars:

🪼 Educational
🪼 Entertaining
🪼 Inspiring

The content you plan and create on these pillars would be cohesive, following your established brand guidelines and make it easy for you to continuously create without losing inspiration. You can then evaluate your strategy after a while and add other important content pillars such as Promotional Content and niche specific topics as needed.

Lovely words from this amazing client I have been working with for 6 months 🥹

I prepared a growth strategy, content calendar, story strategy and content editing for 2 social media platforms. I also worked on a rebrand and designed the graphics needed 🫰

We saw some amazing results and growth in the accounts and I even got to work on set! 🎬

Someone once told me I have a gift for seeing and adding beauty in life.

I felt so seen in that moment. I had not seen that gift in myself, yet it felt like home.

Often we don't see our own gifts and talents for what they really are and we don't use them or take them for granted. So this is a beautiful reminder to stop overthinking and trust that if you have the courage and take the action, somehow it is going to pay off. Just wait and see!

Well in Social Media World we don't like plailing, even if it gives us the opportunity to learn something. So we set up proven strategies and test them before adapting and starting the whole process all over again - to minimize any plailing that may happen. Okay, I'm done.

Creating and posting content inconsistently, without any brand identity and without a plan is killing your account.

As a small business owner/creator it can be difficult to know where to start with a Social Media Strategy. I've been saying this a lot to my clients lately: Followers is a vanity metric.
Sure, it looks good and it's satisfying to see the numbers go up and more followers means more reach, more engagement, more reaching your business goals! Right?!

Well...Yes and No. More reach means more eyes on your content, yes. But that doesn't mean that they'll stay or be engaged or actually purchase your offer. Social media platforms are full of bots and picky consumers and oh! - don't forget about the people playing the follow-unfollow game!

Growing a following on social media platforms is not easy at all. And it can look like accounts with loads of followers do much less but achieve so much more.
What you don't realise is that they could have had content that went viral and brought them more followers fast. They could've done collaborations with more established accounts. They could've gotten amazing press in online/local publications. They could've set up their accounts years ago when all this was so much easier. You don't know - do they have 50 000 disengaged followers barely buying what they're offering? Or do they have 500 or 5000 very engaged followers signing up and supporting them?

It's tricky to find what makes you different and stand out with all the creativity floating around
There are SOOO many accounts posting and taking up the space
Researching your niche and trends takes time, time you could be spending running your business

So, what can you do?
First, check that you're not only following a content/social media strategy, but also a GROWTH Strategy.
Then, don't get disheartened by comparing your account size to others'. Your efforts are not going to waste! Keep showing up - uniquely, consistently and creatively YOU!

A Social Media Strategy is one of the first documents we create when working together as a business/creator and Social Media Manager. Social Media Strategies are SO important when it comes to boosting your brand's social media presence and achieving the goals you set for your business.

An indepth review of your current online presence, goals, strengths and weaknesses can guide you in the creation of an effective . Make sure you follow your strategy long enough to see what really works and what doesn't. If you keep changing it too often, you'll never see the patterns or consistency for growth. Check your account insights at the end of the time set for the strategy plan to make slight changes and improvements where needed.

One of the fastest ways I get to know a new client and their business is by meeting them with a I put together after looking at their efforts on their social media account and reading up on what they've been doing. I explain why every image is there and where I got the inspiration from. Then I ask for feedback and if there are any images that does not resonate with them. This helps me determine if they are not showing up online as they would like - perhaps they need a brand strategy or a rebrand. It shows my client the initial research I did before meeting them and that I will really care about their brand while working on their social media strategy.

Hello everyone and welcome to !

I'm Helenee and I have degrees in Marketing, Business Management and Entrepreneurship from the North-West University and I've completed lots of courses on marketing over the years. I went to the beautiful white sand beaches in Thailand and spent a few amazing weeks struggling, learning, failing and most importantly persisting and determinately dreaming of the life I want to create for myself.

I've always been the kid (and adult🫣 ) looking for the biggest, most beautiful shells I could find on the beach. What was the point of walking all the way, searching, potentially picking up occupied homes (*sorry Mr Crab!) if they weren't going to be BIG? This was my mindset with most things - if it wasn't already perfect, done, working exactly right, totally unique and with no faults, then what was the point of starting anyway? How could I show up for other people and myself, in a very busy world, if I never felt ready?

This time, I walked on that beach and soon found clustes of tiny tiny shells on the sand. I started to collect them, one by one pinching them between my fingers, enjoying their colours and imprefections. Looking back, it shows me how my mindset has shifted. How much easier it is for me to find joy and beauty in little things and not be so bothered by the lack of big, perfect, already-done things. It showed me you could still show up small, uniquely you...and the right people will find you.
