Visit the Hector Pieterson Museum in Orlando West this tourism month. The museum is a memorial in honour of Hector Pieterson, a young student who was killed by police during a peaceful student protest, the Soweto Uprising in 1976.

The museum is open Tuesday- Saturday 10:00-17:00 and Sunday 10:00-16:30

The Mandela House National Museum is an iconic landmark on Vilakazi Street, Orlando West.

It was once the family home of the late former President Nelson Mandela and Winnie Madikizela Mandela.

Visitors can look forward to a guided tour through the museum from R100 per adult.

The Mandela is open to the public Monday-Sundays from 09:00- 16:45pm
