BIG NEWS? 😱
Well not really… You might’ve heard recently that Instagram has decided to permanently remove IGTV, due to the fact that only 1% of IG users actually clicked on the IGTV logo 🤔
DON’T FRET!!
If your IGTV disappeared, it’s normal (Phew!🥲)
The good news is that your IGTV videos will now be combined with your normal videos in the same place that your IGTV videos originally were so you won’t lose them.
In a nutshell, your IGTV tab will transform into a ‘Video Tab’.
Well then what’s the difference you might be wondering?
And the truth is we don’t really know!! 🤪
But here’s what we know so far:
- IG will now have 4 types of content: Videos (normal & old IGTVs), feed posts, Reels and IG stories.
- IGTV had a max duration of 1 hour. It looks like videos will have no time limit. They can be as long as you want.
- You will be able to watch long videos from your feed, without having to open the IGTV screen.
- And last but not least! You don’t need to have a whopping 10k followers to access this cool new feature. It’s for everyone 😌 (Thank you kind Instagram aliens).
So at the end of the day not much will change, but let’s see how it rolls out and we will keep you updated, as usual right here so stay tuned!

WHY DID YOU START SOCIAL JAM?
The obvious answer would be that I always wanted to be an independent, successful entrepreneur and to be my own boss.
Of course, the second thing was that I wanted to work from anywhere in the world. Whether that be a coffee shop in Soho or a beach bar in Bali.
What wasn't expected, being a business owner, was that even if I was working from these places, I would have very little time to enjoy that coffee in Soho or that Mojito on the beach in Bali as my company scaled so quickly!
After working in the social media space for a decade and making money off my own personal brand I realised that too often, I was coming across business owners desperately trying to better their social media efforts and grow their brand, but unsuccessfully. Tired and frustrated they would give up.
That's when I spotted my opportunity - "Why not take everything you applied to your own successful brand, and help other brands carve out their strategies".
Thus Social Jam was born, and as they say, the rest is history.
I can honestly say that I love what I do, and I tackle all my tasks with passion and dedication. For me, this is not a job; it is a lifestyle. I live, eat, and breathe social media, because success for you, means success for my company, and my employees.

5 SKILLS EVERY ENTREPRENEUR SHOULD HAVE:
1. COMMUNICATION: An entrepreneur must be able to communicate with employees, investors, customers, creditors, peers, and mentors. If an entrepreneur cannot communicate the value of their company, it's unlikely the company will be successful.
2. FOCUS: The path to successful entrepreneurship is riddled with ups and downs. There are the highs of successes and the despairs of setbacks. A successful entrepreneur needs to be able to focus so they can stay the course when the going gets tough.
3. ABILITY TO LEARN: The ability to learn is one of the most essential skills in life, let alone in entrepreneurship. If someone is building a business, however, the ability to learn is required for success.
If a person can learn in any situation, even failure, they have the skills necessary to become a successful entrepreneur. Failure can help expand one's knowledge and understanding of business.
4. SALES: The soft skill of sales goes hand-in-hand with the communication necessary to be successful. As an entrepreneur, this person needs to be able to sell anything and everything. An entrepreneur needs to sell the business idea to potential investors, the product or service to customers, and themselves to employees.
5. BUSINESS STRATEGY: While a successful entrepreneur has, by definition, built a successful company, the skill of business strategy is actually the fifth most important skill that an entrepreneur needs. Often, entrepreneurs achieve success in their businesses through their own sheer strength of will.
