Shubharambh (A New Beginning)
The story revolves around two such individuals who, if separated from one another are vulnerable and losers but when united win over every possible obstacle on their way to victory. Rani, though daughter of a poor house maid is rich in terms of confidence, talent and dreams. She has a hunger of achieving something, going places for a better life but her adverse circumstances always get in the way. Whereas Raja, was born with the silver spoon but as fate had it, he has been reduced to a servant in his own house amongst his own people. He has accepted his fate and lives happily, without having any dreams or self-esteem and has no complaints from life.
As luck had it, Raja and Rani, poles apart in every sense, end up coming together for life and marry each other. One day, Raja’s life comes to a standstill when his own family mocks him and denies him the right to the shop which was established by his own father. Raja and Rani decide to leave the house and they take the path less travelled and as struggle often leads to all things beautiful; they found something most beautiful of all, Love. They start a small-time business of selling shoes together and soon they become the country’s most successful shoe making company.

This is a story of a girl who is short i.e. “naati” but has the potential to reach great heights with her humor and wit. Like any other Indian girl, Pinky fights the battle of her own drawbacks herself. But what sets her apart, is not the battle but the way she fights it. A girl who not just sees the glass half full but with a slice of a comic lemon in it.
Given her circumstances, Pinky wanted nothing beyond the conventional marriage & married life. But as destiny had other plans, Pinky ends up falling in love with her own widower Brother-in-law, who eventually not only becomes her husband but also, the anchor of her hidden talent i.e. Stand up comedy.
The show also highlights the relationship a regular Indian girl shares with their father. How from being a figure whose presence is always dreaded, Pinky eventually sees through the façade and bridges the gap between being a fearful daughter to being somebody who brings pride to her father with her achievement. The story transcends the barriers of age, life stages, and background giving viewers a refreshing story that is sure to touch their hearts.
