Seven former Tongaat Huletts senior executives charged over R3.5 billion fraud, the seven also face charges of contravening the Financial Markets Act, the Companies Act and Prevention of Organised Crime Act (POCA).
This allegedly resulted in incorrect profits being declared and the managers receiving huge bonuses

Former judge Heath's detecting on the PIC Mpati Commission targeting Survé ignored. Survé has stated numerous times that there were about 20 companies, including Steinhoff, Tongaat Hulett and EOH, that have been found to have engaged in accounting fraud and some in money laundering, yet their bank accounts and those of their directors remain open.
