Zulu Man With Some Power - Nasty C
First and foremost this album is completely different from any of the previous albums Nasty C has done before. For that he deserves a round of applause because very few artists are ever willing to take that risk as they fear being criticized. If you look carefully his new sound was slowly introduced through a series of tapes, from Lost Files to Zulu Man.
ZMWSP is a solid twenty songs long album. Its a successful album with multiple hit songs. With songs you can listen to that accommodate almost every mood, from turn up trap vibes (Palm trees, Bookoo Bucks, Eazy) to listen to me spit (Feelings, That's hard, There they go) , then to heartbroken vibes(Zone) , to listen to the message I relay in my music (They don't) and then his all time favorite emo persona (Black and White, Sad boys, Ababulali) and then finally to the you can make it regardless what everyone says (How many time, King S**t). Literally taking you through a rollercoaster ride sparking different emotions after each song. Nasty C approached this album with a new style and taste which he killed with high confidence.
The only problem was that the project was just overly stuffed. With some songs not really bringing the best out of Nasty C. The less is more theory when making music would've been perfect for the album. In that way ZMWSP would've been a masterpiece. Yes this may not have been the best of Nasty C but there is one thing that is certain this album was just introduction to the sound Nasty C is working on and the best is yet to come.
