Turnover is a term used in economics to describe the amount of money a business makes or loses during a given period of time.

It is an illusive term for two reasons; firstly, because it can be difficult to measure the amount of turnover for a business. Secondly, it doesn't give the actual financial state/success of the business in the recorded period.

Turnover is usually measured in terms of gross profit or total sales, but it can also be measured by the number of customers that come into the store or by the number of products sold.

Focus on your profits, and reducing the gap between your turnover and profits. Most importantly, manage the growth of your business.
