We are currently in search of a Junior Content Creator, with a particular focus on students or interns, for a project-dependent role within our agency team. While this position is not a full-time commitment, it is crucial for the candidate to possess proficiency in the following areas:

1. Videography (must have your equipment)
2. Video editing specifically for short-form video
3. Social media management
4. Adobe Suite, Chat GPT and Canva

Social media has been a pretty toxic space recently. The hatred and misinformation that has been and continues to be shared is causing massive havoc around the world. Many are feeling traumatized, exhausted, scared, and disheartened, and unfortunately, social media is often the platform where these issues fester.

I firmly believe that social media platforms have the potential to be used for good and to spread positivity. Each of us has the capability to reshape our online experiences. We possess the power to promote light and love, and this is achievable through the intentional and mindful use of social media.

Here are my top tips for curating a more positive social media feed for yourself and, in turn, contributing to a space filled with love and enlightenment

🔹 Don't be afraid to unfollow: Remember that unfollowing someone doesn't notify them, and they likely won't even notice. However, the impact it can have on your mental health, by eliminating offensive or negative content from your daily scrolling, can be truly transformative.

🔹 Use your space intentionally: Share content that resonates with your beliefs and values. Be a beacon of positivity and authenticity on your platform.

🔹 Exercise caution: In an era of rampant misinformation, it's crucial not to trust everything you see on your feed. Verify information from credible sources and experts in the field. Don't hesitate to reach out to community leaders and mentors to verify the accuracy of the information you find.

🔹 A private profile is a safe profile: In a personal capacity, a private account is always preferred. This gives you more control over who follows you and sees your content and acts as an extra barrier between you, your feed, and negative content.

Each one of us has the power to transform the narrative swirling around on our social media feeds. Together, we can make a significant impact on the digital landscape. 🌟💕

There is no doubt that Chat GPT is changing the way we use the internet. It is making a difference in almost every industry and every person has a unique outlook on the programme. However, just like anything, there is a good way to use something and a bad way.

So here are 3 ideas on how to utilise the programme the RIGHT way.

1) Ask the AI to help generate calls to action - every marketer knows the importance of a good call to action. So why not ask for a little help creating something unique for your product?

2) Use AI to create social media captions from your originally written blog posts. All content is valuable and one well-written piece can easily become 2 or 3 different social media posts.

3) Last but not least, ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS rewrite the captions you receive from the AI. I have noticed too many brands simply copying what Chat GPT provided them as a caption, which ends up looking generic and lazy. Rewrite the suggestion in your brand's voice and make sure it is relevant and unique to your brand or product.

Chat GPT is making our lives easier but never discredit the value of the unique human experience... You are convincing other humans to invest in your offering so don't leave your language up to a robot.

Anyone who runs a small business knows how stressful it can be to keep up to date with trends, accounts, content, services and resources but luckily, we have a pretty smooth ecosystem that helps us keep everything in check.

The 3 tools our business can't live without are:

1) ClickUp - ClickUp is our holy grail project management tool. Essentially if it is not on ClickUp, it doesn't exist!
2) Canva - Canva is the greatest tool for all things content!
3) Google Drive - Cloud space is a constant panic when you are trying to execute many pieces of work but investing in Google Drive gives us the chance to bring everything together in an organised manner.

Our team work with these tools every single day so that we can execute each one of our client's strategies as flawlessly as possible.

Many creators and professionals in the social media space have pointed towards a trend of authenticity for 2023. But what does being authentic online really look like? Because it isn't 'just' having spontaneous content on your profile.

I believe that authentic content and an authentic presence encompass 3 main things, and they might not be what you think...

My top 3 tips for curating an authentic social media presence:
1) Always like the content you share. If you don't like it, don't post it.
2) If you wouldn't say it or endorse it in real life, don't share it.
3) Lastly, always ensure that if a family member, friend or even potential employer found your social media account you would be proud of what they found!

✨ If the bandwagon doesn't suit your vibe, there is no need to jump on it! ✨

A common question I hear this time of year is always "Should we do black Friday?" And my answer is always the same - if this strategy aligns with your brand value and goals then sure. But if it doesn't, don't feel pressurised to jump on the trend. Black Friday can work when done right but often small businesses can't afford to lower their prices dramatically just to compete with the sales.

Never give in to pressure when it involves lowering your standards and what you stand for - there are plenty of other ways to reward or treat your customers and sometimes, your customers appreciate it when you stand up for who you are!

I am sure that most social media managers would back me up when I say that adding ASAP to the end of a brief cannot ensure that the work gets done any quicker...

November is a stressful time of year and often brands want to rush to get content out before the holidays. However, work cannot be completed ASAP - ASAP work is work that is rushed and often is not up to the standard that we, your content creators, aim to give you.

We want your content to be thought out, effective and helpful when achieving your goals online. So before adding those 4 letters to the end of the brief, please think about your objective and why that piece of content needs to be done as soon as possible. Usually, if you can add some rhyme and reason to your thinking, the work can be completed properly and quickly and no one needs to lose out.

As you all know (or don't yet) by now, Instagram has been experiencing a bug that causes some users to be locked out of their accounts, to loose followers or even in some cases both. This has sent infuencers and brands into a panic as accounts have lost thousands of followers. 🙈

There is no rhyme nor reason to explain why this is happening or how it will stop but at Ladylike Media, we pride ourselves on growing communities by the book and are happy to report that our clients have not experienced this problem to the extent that others have. 🥳

If we had to pinpoint one factor that could be influencing this experience, it is because we have a STRICT anti-follower buying rule. We do not believe in buying followers, engaging in engagement pods or partaking in the follow/unfollow philosophy to grow our client's communities. We grow by using original, good-quality content, authentically engaging with other users as well as paid advertising that is facilitated by Meta and completed honestly and transparently.

As social media managers, it is our responsibility to guide our clients in the right direction so that we can avoid bugs and inconveniences such as this one. ✨
