By Jade Mthombeni
During the 2022 Marula Media launch held at Sefapane Lodge on Wednesday night, March 16, Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality Mayor, Cllr Merriam Malatji, said they're more than ready to host the much anticipated annual Marula Festival on the 9th of April.
The municipality is delighted with the resurrection of the annual Marula festival, Malatji said.
"All of us were negatively affected by the outbreak of the Corona Virus and as the home of Marula, we celebrate the opportunity to welcome back patrons from all over the world, as this is a world class event".
"We laid the foundation with our own local build up events together with our Traditional Authorities.
"MEC, be rest assured that the people of Ba-Phalaborwa are ready to host and support all the activities".
"The community of Ba-Phalaborwa has shown over the years that hospitality, Marula bi-products, the beautiful sights and wildlife are our point of excellence and we will not disappoint", she added.
