B. Yellow Level 4 Warning: Severe thunderstorms with heavy downpours and damaging winds leading to flooding of roads, settlements, closure of bridges and roads, damage to infrastructure and major travel disruptions are expected over the Mopani District and the eastern parts of the Vhembe District of Limpopo and the extreme eastern Highveld of Mpumalanga.

Tropical Cyclone DIKELEDI is by Angoche , along the north coast of Mozambique intending to track southwards in the Mozambique Channel, and eventually move along the south-west coast of Madagascar by Thursday, 16 January 2025.

A cold front makes landfall in the Western Cape this afternoon resulting in isolated to scattered showers and rain, with some showers persisting over north-east South Africa.

Tropical Cyclone DIKELEDI is along the north coast of Mozambique intending to track southwards in the Mozambique Channel, and eventually move along the south-west coast of Madagascar.

Tropical moisture continues over Botswana, Zimbabawe, Mozambique and eastern South Africa, with widespread showers and thundershowers over Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Eastern Cape.

A. Orange Level 5: Disruptive Rainfall leading to flooding of roads and settlements (formal and informal), damage to property, infrastructure, loss of livelihood and livestock, and major disruption of traffic flow due to major roads being flooded or closed, is expected over Limpopo and Mpumalanga, except for the extreme south-western parts of both Provinces.

B. Yellow Level 2: Disruptive Rainfall leading to localised flooding and damages to settlements and infrastructure, low-lying areas and bridges, is expected over the northern parts of Gauteng, the extreme south-western parts of both Limpopo and Mpumalanga as well as the Wild coast areas of the Eastern Cape.

C. Yellow Level 2: Severe Thunderstorms with heavy downpours, possible strong gusty winds and hail, leading to localised flooding of roads and settlements, displacement of affected communities and localised damage to formal and informal structures are expected over the south- western parts of North West and the western and central parts of the Free State.
