FOUR INJURED MEN FOUND LYING ON THE ROAD AFTER BAKKIE CRASHED INTO A TREE IN HAERTSBURG

HAERTSBURG-Four men were injured when the driver lost control of his bakkie, causing it to crash into a tree off the R71 in Haenertsburg, Limpopo.

ER24 and other services arrived on the scene at 13h16 to find the bakkie on the side of the road against a tree. Four men were found lying next to the bakkie.

Medics assessed the patients and found that one man was in critical condition while three others had sustained moderate injuries.

The patients were treated, and the critically injured man was provided with advanced life support before they were transported to provincial hospitals for further care.

The exact details surrounding this incident are unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.

FOUR BODIES OF LESOTHO ILLEGAL MINERS FOUND ON A FARM OUTSIDE POLOKWANE

POLOKWANE-Three more bodies of suspected illegal miners have been found at different spots at an illegal mine at Roodepoort farm outside Polokwane in Limpopo.

According to Westernburg police that brings the number of bodies found with gunshot wounds to four.

The first body was discovered on Monday, tied to a tree with gunshot wounds.

"Preliminary police investigations indicate that a group of illegal miners from Lesotho and Zimbabwe were sitting around the fire next to an illegal mining shaft in the area on Sunday morning when a group of Sesotho-speaking suspects, armed with pistols, allegedly accosted them and robbed them of their cellphones and money.

Police say the deceased are Lesotho nationals.

- He took money from people and never represented them or delivered services to them.
- He is currently being investigated for corruption.
- the court has declared him a danger to the society.
- Teffo has to hand over his all his law qualifications and practicing certificate.

BREAKING NEWS | ADVOCATE TEFFO STRUCK OFF THE ROLL

PRETORIA - The North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria has ruled that Adv Malesela Teffo be struck off the roll of legal practitioners.

Teffo has been ordered to return his certificates to the registrar of the Court.

° Teffo had 22 complaints against him.
° The court found that he was dishonest and also abusing his power as an Advocate
° Did not act as a legal practitioner should.
° He didn’t abide by the rules of the court.

A curator has also been appointed to handle his bank accounts used while he was practicing. Teffo was given 15 days to appeal.

MANIZO REMANDED IN CUSTODY ONCE AGAIN

COURT UPDATE | The Bolobedu magistrate court has on Monday postponed the murder and possession of unlicensed fi****ms case involving 34-year-old, Thabo Silver Makgogola better known as 'Manizo' in the music circles to the 3rd of June this year for bail application.

It is alleged that 'Manizo' is involved in the murder of the 23-year-old woman, Kgaogelo Maake from Mamotintane who was shot and killed in March 2022 at Morutji village in Bolobedu.

Moreover, the same court also postponed the possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition case of 38-year-old, Laughter Makgobatlou to the 2nd of June this year.

Whereas the same case involving another accomplice of the musician, 30-year-old Thuso Buster Rampya was postponed to the 1st of June this year.

"All three suspects were remanded in custody and will now appear on the same court on different dates", said Tzaneen Police' Spokesperson, Sgt Maurice Nkhwashu.

GENERAL MANIZO REMANDED IN CUSTODY

BOLOBEDU - The popular musician from Bolobedu whose real names are Thabo Silver Makgola(34) better known as General Manizo appeared in the Bolobedu Magistrate Court yesterday and was remanded in custody.

According to Police reports General Manizo was arrested early this week at Mohlakamosoma village in Bolobedu where he was allegedly found hiding at his aunt’s place.

His arrest is allegedly in connection with the murder of the 23-year-old woman, Kgaogelo Maake from Mamotintane who was killed in March 2022.

"A group of people were reportedly drinking in one of the houses at Morutji village in Bolobedu on the 1st of March 2022 when one of the men allegedly shot the victim. She was taken to hospital where she died on arrival", said Limpopo Police' Spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo .

The Police's investigation further led to the arrest of two women and a man named by the police as Sandra Sondlane (22), Sylvia Tepanyeka (44) and Fortune Sondlane (22) for allegedly defeating the end of justice after they allegedly took the main suspect’s firearm and went to conceal at Relela village under Tzaneen policing area. The said fi****ms was recovered with serial numbers filed off.

However, the all three were given R500-00 bail yesterday and will reappear in court on the 23rd of June 2022.

"The team went on to arrest two more suspects whom are said to be the companions of the arrested artist and recovered two fi****ms with serial numbers also filed off", said Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo early this week.

The two, named by the Police as Buster Thusa Rampya (30) and Laughter Makgobatlou (38) have been charged with possession of unlicensed fi****ms.

General Manizo, Laughter Makgobatlou and Buster Thuso Ramya were remanded in custody and will reappear in the Bolobedu Magistrate Court on Monday, the 23rd of May 2022.

R100 000 REWARD FOR LOCATION OF GODRICH GARDEE’S MISSING DAUGHTER

NELSPRUIT- Urgent appeals for help and a R100,000 reward have been offered for missing student Hillary Gardee (28).

The daughter of former EFF secretary-general and attorney Godrich Gardee disappeared on Friday,April 29.

Gardee, who is residing at Kamagugu (outside Nelspruit) was last seen at Spar Supermarket in Nelspruit.

The victim was with a 3-year-old girl during her disappearance. Surprisingly, the child was found but Gardee was nowhere to be found. She was reported missing by her family on Saturday, April 30. Gardee has never returned home since then.

She was last seen wearing a black top and black trousers. She is approximately 1.6 metres tall and she has a piercing on her nose. She is also light in complexion.

*TWELVE PEOPLE CONFIRMED DEAD IN A HEAD-ON COLLISION ON THE N1 NEAR MOOKGOPHONG*

Tweleve people were killed and eight others escaped with injuries in a head-on collision involving a 22 seater Iveco bus and a Toyota SUV on the N1 near Mookgophong off-ramp. It is alleged that the driver of the SUV lost control of the vehicle due to a tyre burst and collided head-on with a 22 seater Mercedes Benz bus.

The bus burst into flames and eleven occupants trapped inside were burnt to death. The driver of the SUV was also killed on impact. Eight people survived, six are serioulsy injured and two escaped with minor injuries.

Transport and Community Safety MEC Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya has sent messages of condolences to the affected families and wish speedy recovery to the survivors. The MEC is once again pleading with Motorists to inspect their vehicles before they get into the road. She is concerned that most of the fatal accidents reported on the N1 have a common cause.

Breaking news updates : MAN WANTED FOR KILLING WIFE, FOUND DEAD A DAY LATER

NAMAKGALE-A Phalaborwa man wanted for allegedly murdering his wife, killed himself a day after the shooting.

Michael Mahesu allegedly shot and killed his wife in their house at Rockview New Stands, Namakgale on Sunday, December 26.

He was found on Monday with a gun wound, police confirmed.

Mayor Cllr Merriam Malatji has conveyed her heartfelt condolences to the Mahesu family and all those that are affected by the incident. “On behalf of the municipality, we are deeply saddened by this tragic loss and I would like to convey my sincere condolences and comfort to the Mahesu family during this difficult period”.

The Mayor has urged residents to refrain from resorting to violence when faced with domestic challenges and instead seek help from the relevant authorities.
