Perfect Radio aims at improving young people in rural and urban areas, with the intent of strengthening community development through key space offerings of sport, music, events of local importance and lifestyle programming. We exist to sponsor young people who are continuously seeking to improve their lives and their communities. GA-KGAPANE: The Bolobedu SAPS is seeking for the community assistance to locate a missing 33 year-old man, Rantho Cedric Lethwane from Mapaana village outside Ga-Kgapane, Bolobedu policing area

According to the information obtained, Rantho left his native place at Ga-Mapaane on Tuesday, 05 November 2024. Today is 17 November 2024 and he has not returned home. He didnot inform anyone where he was going since he is staying alone.

A missing person case was opened at Bolobedu SAPS and the matter was reported to Perfect Radio for public assistance.

LOCAL ENTREPRENEURS EMPOWERED THROUGH BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME

MOKWAKWAILA:Mokwakwaila Library hosted a successful 4-day workshop.In a bid to foster entrepreneurship and economic growth in the region, the Department of Labour, in partnership with the Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA), conducted a comprehensive 4-day business development programme at Mokwakwaila Library.

The workshop, which took place from the 12th November 2024 to 15th November 2024 drew 25 enthusiastic participants representing diverse businesses from the local community. The programme aimed to equip entrepreneurs with essential skills and knowledge to drive business success.

The interactive sessions covered critical topics such as:

- Business planning and strategy
- Marketing and branding
- Financial management and accounting
- Accessing funding and government incentives
- Building sustainable business models

The facilitator,Ms Wendy Mashele shared valuable insights and best practices, providing participants with practical tools to enhance their business operations.

The Department of Labour and SEDA's collaborative effort demonstrates their dedication to fostering a conducive business environment and promoting economic growth in the region.

TRAGEDY AT DZUMERI PRIMARY SCHOOL DRAWS ATTENTION FROM AUTHORITIES

DZUMERI VILLAGE- An atmosphere of sadness hung over Dzumeri Primary School as a host of officials and organizations visited the school after a tragic incident that occurred the previous day. Among those present were the MEC, the Department of Education, Environmental Health Inspectors, SAPS, the Department of Transport, EMS, and representatives from SABC News. Their mission: to assess the situation, provide support, and ensure steps were taken to prevent further tragedies.

One child, who was visibly in pain, captured the attention of the EMS team upon their arrival. Realizing the need for immediate intervention, the EMS decided to remain stationed at the school and in the surrounding villages to work closely with children exhibiting signs of distress or facing threats to their well-being.

However, broader concerns emerged. Environmental Health Inspectors highlighted critical issues, cautioning against overlooking potential hazards. They emphasized the importance of addressing environmental risks before they escalated.

The visit also shed light on challenges children face beyond the classroom. Many pupils encounter accidents and unsafe conditions at home, adding another layer of complexity to their lives.

In response to the tragedy, local authorities vowed to take swift action. Collaborative efforts among the departments and community stakeholders aim to ensure a safer and more supportive environment for the children of Dzumeri Primary School and the surrounding areas.

A 38 YEAR-OLD FOREIGN NATIONAL SENTENCED FOR LIFE IMPRISONMENT FOR RA**NG A MINOR VICTIM AT PHALABORWA

The Phalaborwa Regional court have on Wednesday , 13 November 2024, sentenced a 38 year-old Bangladash national to a life term imprisonment for ra**ng a minor victim at Namakgale policing area on Sunday, 08 May 2022.

The court noted that at about 11:00, a ten (10) year-old girl was sent to the nearest supermarket by her grandmother to purchase household items. The victim found a 38 year-old shop owner who closed and locked the door when she was about to leave the premises after buying the items.

The accused, Hossain Akiet grabbed and forcefully walked the victim to a room situated at the back of the premises and suddenly r***d the victim on arrival.

Following the r**e ordeal, the victim was released and she returned home and informed her family about the incident that was reported to the police.

A r**e case was opened and an immediate manhunt of the suspect was launched and subsequently led to a Bangladesh national being apprehended the same day within the vicinity.

The case was transferred to Phalaborwa Family Violence, Child Protection and S*xual Offences (FCS) Unit and assigned to Sergeant Sharlot Luphondo-Mkansi.

Through her detective abilities, Sergeant Luphondo-Mkansi left no stone unturned to ensure that the bail is opposed until his sentencing to life imprisonment without the option of fine.

The court further ordered that the accused particulars be recorded in the National Register of S*x Offenders.

The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo Lieutenant, General Thembi Hadebe is cautioning would be sexual assault offenders against the abuse of minor victims. The police will do everything in their power to ensure that the perpetrators face the full might of the law at all costs.
