BULAMAHLO TO HAVE A COMMUNITY HALL IN 10 MONTHS

During a momentous groundbreaking ceremony held in Makhubidung Village, Councillor Conny Ramothwala announced the highly anticipated construction of a state-of-the-art 1000-capacity community hall in the Bulamahlo Cluster. The project, with an estimated budget of R28 million, is expected to be completed within the next ten months. This significant initiative is set to provide tremendous benefits to the community, including employment opportunities for 53 local workers at the EPWP daily rate.

Located in close proximity to the CN Phatudi Hospital, the community hall will feature cutting-edge indoor sports facilities for netball, basketball, and volleyball, as well as a 200-meter paved road, palisade fencing, a boardroom, offices, a high mast light, a septic tank, change rooms, a borehole, and an ablution block. The groundbreaking ceremony also paved the way for the formation of a Project Steering Committee, responsible for overseeing the project's successful implementation, and the appointment of the 53 workers.

This noteworthy undertaking is poised to provide essential infrastructure and create job opportunities for the local population, positively impacting the entire community. The Bulamahlo Cluster can look forward to a bright future with the advent of this pivotal development, which will undoubtedly enhance the quality of life and economic prospects of its citizens.

This is not loadshedding but an unplanned power outage.

⏰️ 10:00 Update 20 Feb 2023

Freddy has weakened somewhat over the past 24hours and is now an Intense Tropical Cyclone. Freddy is still a very powerful system and very dangerous. The system is moving quite fast and could hit the east coast of Madagascar on Tuesday and will weaken over land due to the lack of warm moisture. Considerable damage and heavy rainfall are expected over Madagascar.

Freddy is then expected to move into the Mozambique Channel late on Wednesday into Thursday and is expected to reintensify. The system will then hit Mozambique on Friday south of Beira in the Pende area.

The system will then cross Mozambique, and current weather models are suggesting that the system (now a depression on earth) could eaither move into South Africa by late Friday (Eastern Limpopo) OR exit through South Mozambique with less effects on SA.

THIS SYSTEM NEEDS UTMOST ATTENTION THIS WEEK!

HIJACK ALERT | FIVE ARMED MEN HIJACK VW POLO AT MAKHUBIDUNG

MAKHUBIDUNG VILLAGE-A man driving a blue polo was hijacked by five armed men at Makhubidung village near Dr CN Phatudi hospital under Greater Tzaneen this evening.

It is reported that the suspects pointed a firearm at the victim at around 20H30 and ordered him out of the vehicle and sped it off in Mogapeng direction.

The registration plate of the car is DVF 810 L.

Anyone who sees the car or has any information that can assist to locate the vehicle must alert the police.
