UNIVEN HOSTS GOLF TOURNAMENT TO RAISE FUNDS FOR NEEDY STUDENTS

Dr.Takalani Dzaga the spokesperson of the University of Venda Talking about the University of Venda Vice Chancellor’s Summer Golf Tournament that is currently underway at Killarney Golf Club in Johannesburg.
DR Dzaga says the tournament aims to raise funds for needy students who were not covered by NSFAS or any bursary.

THOHOYANDOU : A fidelity security was shot wounded during a cash - in - transit heist at Capitec Venda Plaza in Thohoyandou today.
The suspects managed to make way an undisclosed amount of cash during the robbery and fled in a Ford bakkie.

MINIBUS BURNS TO ASHES IN WATERVAAL
WATERVAAL : A school transport caught fire and burnt to ashes on Monday afternoon at Watervaal township near Elim in Makhado Municipality, Vhembe District.
The minibus caught fire while transporting the kids to their respective homes from school.
According to the Minibus driver,Sheriff Davana(also known as Prophet Sheriff), smoke started under his seat.
"I opened the seat to check where the smoke came from then there were flames coming out of the engine.
I emmediately ensured the kids are out and some jumped through the windows" Sheriff said.
The Minibus had 15 kids on board.
It used to transport little kids from the age of 5 to 12 around Elim, Watervaal and Mpheni.
All kids escaped without injuries.
