WHO IS JAIROS TAPERA

The Zimbabwe Football Association Normalization Committee recently appointed Jairos Tapera as the interim coach for the Zimbabwe senior men's football team, the Warriors. But who is Jairos Tapera? Where has his coaching journey taken him before his appointment as interim National team Coach?

Jairos Tapera is a seasoned Zimbabwean football coach currently serving as the interim head coach for the Zimbabwe national team, the Warriors. Tapera's coaching journey spans several notable positions within the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League and beyond.

Tapera began his prominent coaching career with Black Leopards in 2018, then moved to coach TelOne Football Club in 2019, and later Black Rhinos in 2020. His extensive experience includes stints at Shabanie Mine, FC Platinum, and Yadah FC. In 2022, he became the head coach of Triangle United before taking over Manica Diamonds in October 2022.

In May 2024, Tapera was appointed as the interim head coach for the Zimbabwe Warriors. He is tasked with leading the team in the World Cup qualifiers and the COSAFA Cup. His leadership team includes assistants Takesure Chiragwi and Saul Chaminuka, with Sunday Chidzambwa acting as the technical advisor.

His club Manica Diamonds FC - Gem Boys currently sit on top of the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League standings.

We wish him well in the forthcoming matches against Lesotho and South Africa. Both matches will be played In South Africa
