*DEAD, BURIED, BUT WITHOUT A GRAVE*
_So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD, and he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab opposite Bethpeor; but no man knows the place of his burial to this day._ (Deuteronomy 34:5-6)
There are two kinds of people in this world: those with graves where in some cultures people take flowers every now and then and where some people go for prayers asking and calling out the spirits of the dead to come and help them through the challenges the worshippers are facing. It makes some sense to me when the following icons never had graves like others.
Enoch who walked with God in generation prepared for floods had no grave (Genesis 5:24). Moses the Theologian, the Exodus leader, and the father of the prophetic office died, yes, buried, yes, but he had no grave (Deuteronomy 34:5-6). Elijah the charismatic and revolutionary Prophet was taken and to-date there is no grave with the tombstone reading his name (2Kings 2:1, 11).
If these icons had known graves, these graves would have turned into worship places or actually pilgrimage sites. In Uganda the Buganda Kingdom has shrines (Amasiro) where the remains of the former kings are kept and the cult actually worships these dead kings in form of recognition.
Many people in many cultures still go to the graves of the dead and cry there as they call upon the names of the dead. For some reason there is a particular attitude that people directly and indirectly have towards the graves of the great people or actually the loved ones. Let me ask you, when you look at the grave of your loved one, what comes to your mind? Okay let me ask: what do you feel when you are near the cemetery or graveyard? Is it fear or?
Jesus was a great man but his grave doesn’t make any sense and neither is it the biggest tourist attraction site in the world. Do you know why? THE GRAVE IS EMPTY. Such a grave does not make sense, the graves that make sense are the very ones still holding the heroes in the history of this world. We pay respect to these graves, we visit them with flowers, we dig, renovate and paint these graves, because deep down in our hearts we know; OUR LOVED ONES ARE HELD IN THERE.
Am here to tell you that whoever DIED, and you BURIED him/her and that individual has a GRAVE cannot come back and neither can he even communicate to you through another person, or dream or from space. They are dead and like all the dead with graves, they are no more and know nothing.
The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 that: _For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward; but the memory of them is lost. Their love and their hate and their envy have already perished, and they have no more for ever any share in all that is done under the sun._
I don’t care who you saw in your dream, and what that individual said, as long as that individual died and has a grave, he is held in the ground and has no say. Don’t let the devil play tricks on your psychology. Do not let the devil hold you in fear to continue consulting those in the graves.
Because Moses and Elijah had no grave, we later see them visiting Jesus in his trying moment in Mathew 17:3-4. Notice that they did not visit him in sleep. He was awake when they visited him.
Note also that it was not only Jesus who saw Moses and Elijah but also the three disciples saw them. Do not be deceived by the demons only you can see and the other family members cannot see. Trust God and the demons will not hold you hostage.
As long as they died, buried and we know there graves, they are no more and therefore have no say whatsoever and neither can they help any of us.
Can you imagine people believe their parents and grandparents visit them in dreams and ask them to go to their damaged graves and fix them? If these individuals can see the brokenness of the grave (their house) why can’t they fix it themselves yet in life they used to fix broken houses? THE DEVIL IS A LIAR. Do not fall for his trick and threats, in fact the Bible in James 4:7 says: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
