In every difficulty, lies opportunity. Really, your vision involves your sense of imagination, possibility and at its heart, it is the ability to dream and see where you want to go ✨

I want you to take a few minutes to visualize exactly where you plan on going and how you plan on getting there.

This is NOT daydreaming. This is FOCUSED on development because you WANT to see the optimum outcome for every day.

If you clarify the vision, you “sketch” an unputdownable image. Take your time to work through the following criteria and think about how this can help you to create your one of a kind vision:

• Value – Aim high and represent the maximum value for your customers.
• Inspirational, motivational, bold – Your business vision should inspire your team and customers.
• Realistic – Make the vision believable. It should be compatible with your core values and your employees and managing staff should believe that they can deliver on that vision.
• Longevity – A futuristic vision will stand up for a long time, despite business and cultural trends.
• Unique – Distinguish your business from others.

Why is your business vision so important? Because a truly great vision will come to life in everyday actions and behavior of your team. And it will become your company culture.

“I dream, I test my dreams against my beliefs, I dare to take risks, and I execute my vision to make those dreams come true.” – Walt Disney

3 Marketing Lies Small-Business Owners Tell Themselves by Entrepreneur SA - DMN Creative

Too many startup leaders deny the difference quality marketing makes and what they can afford.

Whip-smart brand positioning drives revenues for enterprises from Apple to Zappos. But for growing organizations, cutting-edge marketing can feel like a luxury. The Small Business Association suggests companies budget 7 to 8 percent of revenues for promotion, yet the average small business allocates just 1 percent.

We’ve got downtime, so let’s work on our vision board together 🌛

These questions will help, not only to clearly identify your dreams and goals, but will put you in the correct mind frame to achieve it, so here goes:

P.S - Before you begin, stop and give yourself permission to dream BIG! Don’t prejudge your answers, write the first thing that comes to mind.

1. What does your life look like if resources and limits are not an option in the following areas: Family; Health; Personal Growth; Financial; Career; Social; Travel.

2. What character traits would you like to be known for?

3. What have you always wanted to do but have never had the courage to do?

4. What do you wish you had more time for in your life?

5. What do you want to create more space for?

6. If you imagine reaching your goals, what does your life look like?

7. What will it take to reach your goal?

8. How will the process of reaching your goal change you?

Why Companies Turn To Digital Marketing To Survive COVID-19 by Forbes - DMN Creative

In the coming months, businesses are going to become more reliant than ever on their digital strategy. Without wanting to sound too alarmist, in many cases it will be the deciding factor in whether they make it through the tough times ahead.

The unprecedented, almost-total disappearance of all channels related to live events and conferences, and the increasing barriers on face-to-face business, pose an enormous challenge. Key to resilience is the development of ongoing contingencies to mitigate against this loss.

Hi all 🌝

With the president addressing the nation and implementing drastic measures to contain the spread of COVID-19, we are cognisant of the fact that things have changed and will change dramatically over the next few weeks. (21 days)

With these thoughts in mind, we urge you to consider your digital marketing strategies, and if you need any guidance as to how to implement changes to your current marketing plans, please reach out to me urgently, as any work over the next 21 days will be scheduled to our remote team, according to the requests we are currently receiving.

We ask all clients to communicate what their status of trading will be, or how they will be implementing strategies to pivot during this situation.

Our thoughts go out to all our clients during this difficult time, and hope that we will emerge stronger together from this.

Regards,
Monique and the DMN Team

3/3 - Embrace your quirks 💁🏻‍♀️ We’re all human; we all have the same, valid feelings. We giggle when we shouldn’t, over-react when we should stay calm, laugh at our own jokes, dance when no one’s watching, and sing in the shower. That’s why it’s okay to bring your human side into your work environment, because nobody buys into something they can’t relate to. With COVID-19 in the air (literally) we should really try to be ourselves during this time. Engage with your clients and others on a personal level, where you and the client both connect and form a lasting bond 🙌🏻 Because we’re all human beings, who love, feel, experience, laugh and cry, let’s embrace our ‘humanness’. After all, that’s what makes the world go round. .

14/03/2020

Keep your mind set, keep you hair long 💁🏻‍♀️

13/03/2020

2/3 - Get serious about relaxing.
With current topics such as the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) and climate change constantly on everyone’s minds, there’s enough seriousness in the world. Bearing this in mind, a stiff, very professional business relationship is not necessarily what a client is looking for. It’s about relating, being on the same level with them (getting in the trenches together), adapting and knowing when and where to ‘cross the line’.

I’ve had so many client experiences, and I can say without doubt that no matter how many times you deliver on projects, it’s really about the value you bring to the table as an individual, not only in a business sense, but also in a personal sense.

Energy saving mode 🌝 Here are some ways I catch a break during a busy day: • Walk my dogs • Go to town • Watch the latest trending videos • Sit and enjoy a cup of coffee away from the desktop. These things might seem insignificant, but that’s the whole point, I like to take my mind off everyday stresses by focusing on something completely irrelevant, so for just that moment, I can “shut down” and recharge for the next bit of my day. What do you do to recharge?

11/03/2020

1/3 - Loosen the tie, be YOU ✨ Discussing the topic of formal vs. informal (old-school vs. modern) business relations.

I believe that the world has evolved in such a way that having a good working relationship with your client has, in most instances, become more important than using formal words in your communications with them. It’s about relatable messaging, building camaraderie and sharing memes. It’s about fielding last-minute messages and requests with a can-do attitude, living each of your client’s brands as if they were your own, and really capturing the client as a ‘person’ (not so much as a faceless company).

Instagram Influencer Marketing: The Organic Superfood You Need To Fuel Your Ecommerce Store - DMN Creative

When we are looking for recommendations, who do we go to?

Many times it’s someone we know or follow online or in-person. They often have three things in common:

• They’re honest and authentic,
• They share our values, and,
• Ultimately, they have our best interests at heart.

Let’s take it a step further. You receive a recommendation by word-of-mouth, but you’re not sure what the product looks like or where to shop for it. Enter influencer marketing on Instagram.

Blame it on our senses, but the more interaction we have with a product, the more familiar, comfortable and confident we feel purchasing it.

How can you use social media to add focus to your marketing? - DMN Creative

Up until the introduction of cloud technologies, social media was arguably the biggest and best thing to come from the Internet’s early years. The idea that businesses could connect to anyone anywhere on the globe, and share information those people might otherwise have never been exposed to, completely changed the marketing industry. Today, over 50% of businesses worldwide leverage social media in some way to promote their products and services. This article takes a look at three ways social media can help add focus to and enhance any marketing mix: https://dmncreative.com/how-can-you-use-social-media-to-add-focus-to-your-marketing/

My story...

You are probably wondering why the name DMN? Well, this is pretty much how the name evolved: DMN or better known as the Default Mode Network is a large scale brain network of interacting regions that have activity correlated with each other.

DMN is most active when your brain is at wakeful rest, such as during daydreaming and mind-wandering. Humans have feelings, they daydream, they wish, they hope, they think, they wonder and they reflect.

As a Digital Marketing Consultant, I truly aspire to apply these aspects to attribute mental states and analyze social interactions by recollecting memories and events to reflect on the past and plan for the future.

Let’s get in touch! ✨
