A Little Faith

He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you." Luke 17:6 NIV

Today’s Word
When the odds are against you and what you're up against seems impossible, don't believe the lie that you don't have enough faith. God says when you have faith the size of a mustard seed, nothing is impossible. A mustard seed is one of the smallest seeds. A little faith is like a little match that can ignite a huge fire. A little faith can start a huge blessing. Little faith can open big doors. Little faith can heal you from a terminal illness. Little faith can defeat great giants.

You have the faith you need to get you to your destiny. Now do your part and start mixing in faith to ignite the promises of God in your life. How do you mix in your faith? You agree with what God promised. "Lord, thank You that I can do all things through Christ. Thank You that the enemies I see today I will see no more." That's not just being positive, that's mixing in your faith. That's what activates the promise.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that You don't expect me to have a great faith that never doubts. Thank You that You see my mustard seed faith and that it is enough to make anything impossible. I believe that as I mix my faith with Your promises that You will ignite great things. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Power to Endure

An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. Luke 22:43 NIV

Today’s Word
The night before Jesus was crucified, He went to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray. He knew the suffering He would face. He felt weary, lonely, and so overcome with emotion that His sweat was like drops of blood. Remember that even though Jesus is fully God, He is fully man. He felt everything we have felt. He felt overwhelmed. In that moment when it seemed as though He couldn't go on, God sent an angel to strengthen Him.

God knows the weight of what you are carrying. He sees you being your best as you raise the children, fight an addiction, or face the illness. When you run out of strength, don't worry, for angels are coming. Help is on the way. You're going to feel strength that you didn't have, joy when you could be discouraged, hope when you should be depressed. You're going to have the power to endure, the favor to overcome, the determination to outlast. It's not because of your own efforts; it's the angels ministering to you.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that You know all the things I am carrying, and You make provisions of special strength for me all along the way. Thank You that You even send angels in various forms to minister to my needs. I believe that I have the power to endure whatever I face. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Do Not Be Afraid

"…an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. ‘Joseph, son of David,’ the angel said, ‘do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit.’" Matthew 1:20 NLT

Today’s Word
Have you ever felt overwhelmed or even afraid of what God has called you to do? Maybe you were pursuing a dream or goal and things didn’t turn out the way you planned. Joseph had planned to take Mary as his wife, but when he found out she was pregnant, he didn’t know what to think. He was afraid that he might be making a mistake because things didn’t turn out the way he planned. But, God sent a messenger in a dream to reassure Joseph that he was on the right path.

Today let me reassure you that God knows right where you are, and He knows how to get you to where you need to be. Even when things don’t go the way you planned, His hand is on you. Do not be afraid, trust that God is working behind the scenes on your behalf and that He will lead you into the life of blessing that He has prepared for you.

Prayer for Today
Father in heaven, I choose to trust in You. Even when things don’t go the way I planned, I know You are at work in my life. Thank You for Your perfect love which casts out all fear. I love You and surrender every area of my life to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Your Best Days Are Ahead

So Joshua spared Rahab the pr******te and her relatives who were with her in the house, because she had hidden the spies Joshua sent to Jericho. Joshua 6:25 NLT

Today’s Word
It's easy to go through life feeling disqualified because of mistakes we've made, or negative things people have spoken over us, or even our own thoughts telling us how we don't measure up. But when God needed someone to save the Israeli spies whom Joshua had sent into the city of Jericho, of all the people He could have chosen, He chose a pr******te by the name of Rahab, someone who'd made a mess of her life. People saw her failures, but God saw her potential. Here's how amazing God is: not only was Rahab and her family spared, but Rahab married a Jewish man, and they and their descendants are in the family line of Jesus Christ.

God wants to make your life significant. People may have written you off, but God has written you in. He's already qualified you, now don't disqualify yourself. He has the final say. He says, "You're blessed, you're redeemed, you're forgiven, and your best days are still ahead."

Prayer for Today
"Father, thank You that You want to bring out the very best in me. Thank You that when others try to discount me and write me off, You have already counted and written me in. I believe that You have qualified me, and my best days are still ahead. In Jesus' Name, Amen."

Present Your Case

Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.…Your promise preserves my life. Psalm 119:49-50 NIV

Today's Word
One of the most powerful ways to pray is to find a promise in the Scripture and remind God what He said about you. Isaiah 62:6–7 says, in effect, “Put God in remembrance of His promises. Keep not silent. Give Him no rest till it comes to pass.” When God hears His promises, He dispatches angels with the answers. He sets the miracle into motion. He will change things in your favor. It may not happen overnight, but just stay in faith and keep reminding God what He promised you day in and day out.

My question is, Are you presenting your case to God? Have you found His promises and are you reminding Him of them and thanking Him for them? All throughout the day, and especially when the doubts arise, kick it into gear. “Father, You said the moment I pray the tide of the battle turns.” “God, You said I am more than a conqueror.” “God, You said You hold victory in store for the upright.” Present your case based on God’s Word and you cannot lose.

Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that I can stir up my faith and put You in remembrance of Your promises. Thank You that when I say ‘You promised,’ something powerful happens because You watch over Your Word to perform it. I believe that You bring Your promises to fulfillment. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

He Prepares The Way For Victory

Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ... 2 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV

Today’s Word
There are times in life when we all face situations that seem impossible. It's easy to get discouraged and think that things won't ever work out. But the Scripture tells us that God goes before us and makes our crooked places straight. In other words, even though you may not have the connections you need right now, you don't have to worry. God is going before you lining up the right people, arranging the right breaks, and setting up the right opportunities. He is preparing the way for victory!

Today, if you are facing difficulty, don't fall into the temptation to get negative and sour. That adversity is no surprise to God. He's not up in the heavens scratching His head and thinking, "Oh, no! Now what am I going to do?" No, He already has every day of your life written in His book. Before you had that problem, God already had the solution. He is going before you right now preparing the next chapter of your life. Stay in faith and keep the right attitude because He is moving you forward into the victory He has prepared for you!

Prayer for Today
"Father, thank You for ordering and directing my steps. Thank You for working behind the scenes on my behalf. I choose today to trust in You, knowing that You are good, and You always lead me into victory in Jesus' name. Amen."

This Can Be Your Legacy

“For my own honor and for the sake of my servant David, I will defend this city and protect it.” 2 Kings 19:34 NLT

Today's Word
In 2 Kings 19, King Hezekiah, one of David’s descendants, was on the throne in Judah. The powerful Assyrian army was about to attack Jerusalem, and Hezekiah didn’t stand a chance. But when he prayed and asked God to help them, that very night an angel destroyed 185,000 in the Assyrian camp, and the Assyrian king went home. Hezekiah was so thrilled, and I can imagine he wondered why God had given him such favor. Today’s Scripture answers that: “for the sake of my servant David.” This took place nearly three hundred years after David died, yet David’s legacy of seeds of obedience, seeds of helping others, and seeds of honoring God were still producing fruit in his family line.

Every time you help someone in need and make sacrifices for them to go further, you’re sowing a seed not only for you to go further, but for those who come after you in your family line to go further. They will see favor and protection because you made decisions that honor God.

Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You for the remarkable possibility that the seeds of obedience and of helping others I am sowing today can continue to bless my descendants for many generations. Help me to leave a legacy that honors You and produces good fruit long after I am gone. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Royalty

So they answered, “As you are, so were they; each one resembled the son of a king.” Judges 8:18 NKJV

Today's Word
In Judges 6, an angel told Gideon that he was to go out and save the Israelites from an invading army. Gideon responded, “I can’t do that. I come from the poorest family, and I’m the least one in my father’s house. I’m not good enough.” He didn’t realize he was royalty. A few chapters later, when Gideon was talking with his defeated enemies about some fellow soldiers he was trying to find, he asked them what the men looked like. They said, “They looked like you, like a king’s son.” Gideon had felt inadequate, but even his enemies could see he was royalty.

You may feel as though you don’t measure up. It’s causing you to shrink back, to not pursue your dreams. You may not be able to see it, but even the enemy knows you’re royalty. Why don’t you step up to who you were created to be? You’re the King’s child. You’ve been born into His family and a new life. Now, do your part and start having a son mentality.

Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that the new life I’ve received from You is a life of royalty. Thank You that even the enemy must recognize that I am Your child. I believe that You have put a robe of righteousness on me, and that I can step up and become everything You want me to be. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

He Will Multiply You

And I will make My covenant (solemn pledge) between Me and you and will multiply you exceedingly. Genesis 17:2 AMPC

Today’s Word
God is in the multiplication business. It doesn’t matter what your need is today, God wants to increase you! One time in the Old Testament, God simply multiplied the sound of four men’s footsteps and caused them to sound like a mighty army. When their enemies heard them coming, they took off running. There were thousands of enemy troops running for their lives, scared to death, thinking they were being attacked by a massive army when, in fact, it was just four people!

Friend, God can make you seem bigger than you really are. He can make you look more powerful. He knows how to multiply your influence, your strength, your talent and your income. You don’t have to figure it all out. All you have to do is put your trust in Him. If you will release your faith and get up every day expecting God’s far and beyond favor, you’re going to see God multiply you in every area of your life!

Prayer for Today
Father God, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. Thank You for Your promise to bless and multiply me. Direct my steps, keep me close to You as I increase in You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Through the Storm

Then he asked them, "Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?" Mark 4:40 NLT

Today’s Word
In Mark 4, Jesus said to His disciples, "Let's go to the other side of the lake," but along the way they were caught in a furious night storm. The winds were so strong that the disciples thought the boat was going to capsize, so they woke Jesus up. He rebuked the storm, and everything calmed down.

When we're in a storm, we often get upset and panic as the disciples did. "God, You have to help! This medical report is bad. My finances aren't making it. My relationship is falling apart." Quit being upset and losing sleep over your troubles. God knew there would be a storm before He told the disciples to go over the lake. When He puts a promise in your heart, all the forces of darkness cannot stop Him from getting you there. God is not ignoring your prayers. You don't have to wake Him up. He's teaching you to have faith in the middle of the storm.

Prayer for Today
"Father, thank You that You are not just the God of the start of my storm, not just the God of my finish, but You're also the God of the middle. Thank You that You are here to protect me and provide for me. I believe You will still my storms. In Jesus' Name, Amen."

He Holds You In His Hand

Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you...I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand... Isaiah 41:10 AMPC

Today’s Word
We all face situations in life that feel out of control. During times like these, it’s easy to get discouraged and allow fear to creep in. Instead, why don’t you focus on the fact that God is holding you in the palms of His hands! There is nothing too difficult for Him; nothing’s impossible; nothing is beyond His ability. When God holds you in His hands, you are safe; you are cared for. In His hands, there is victory. In His hands, there is strength. In His hands, there is provision. In His hands is everything you need.

No matter what you may be going through today, you can trust that God is for you. Instead of getting down and depressed over your circumstances, look up and get a vision of God turning that situation around. Let faith rise in your heart and focus on His favor, promotion and blessing. As you keep your heart and mind focused on Him and choose to obey His Word, you’ll see those supernatural breaks that will launch you further ahead than you ever thought possible because He holds you with His victorious right hand!

Prayer for Today
"Father, thank You for helping me and holding me in Your victorious right hand. I choose to trust You even when things don’t make sense, even when things seem beyond my control. I release my cares to You knowing that You work all things together for my good in Jesus’ name. Amen."

Take the Pressure Off

“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Matthew 6:34 NLT

Today's Word
When we face challenges to which we don’t see an answer, many times there’s a voice constantly whispering, “What are you going to do?” With it comes the pressure to solve it, but when you’re comfortable not knowing the answer, it takes the pressure off. Somebody says, “I heard about your problem. What are you going to do?” Your answer should be, “I don’t know, but I am at peace knowing the One who does, and He says to not worry about it.”

If there’s something about your health, your marriage, or your finances that you don’t have an answer to, quit trying to figure it out. Take the same time that you would normally spend worrying and wondering about it, and use it to thank God that He’s working. Thank Him that He’s making crooked places straight. Thank Him that all things are working for your good. God is going to not just bring promises to pass, not just turn problems around, but it’s going to turn out better than you imagined.

Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that I do not have to keep being trapped in worry about things over which I have no control. Thank You that just as You clothe the lilies of the fields, You will provide me with exactly what I need when I need it. I choose to rest, knowing that You will work it for my good. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

The Great I AM

And God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And He said, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, "I AM has sent me to you.'" Exodus 3:14 NKJV

Today’s Word
When Moses was sent to Pharaoh to free the people from slavery, God told Moses to tell them that "I AM" had sent him. Later, when the people of Israel were trapped in a dead end at the Red Sea with Pharaoh's army in pursuit, it's easy to imagine Moses saying, "God, we have no options. There's no door." God said, "Moses, I am the door," and as Moses held up his rod, the water suddenly parted.

God is the way. He can create what you need. That's why He's called the "I AM." He was saying, "I am whatever you need. I am a door. I am a key. I am a way out, a way in, and a way through." You may be in a situation where you don't see a way out. You may feel that you've been at a dead end in your health, your finances, or your career for a long time. Get ready. God is going to make ways where you don't see a way.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that You are my great I AM. When I face problems that seem overwhelming, help me learn to hold my peace and remain at rest in who You are. I believe that You will create whatever I need and get me to where I'm supposed to be. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

No Storm Too Strong

Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. Mark 4:39 NKJV

Today’s Word
In Mark 5, Jesus cast an impure spirit out of a deranged man who had been living among the tombs and cutting himself with stones. People had given up on him; he was beyond their helping or controlling, but God hadn't given up on him. Afterward, it says, "The people saw the man sitting, fully clothed and in his right mind." What's interesting is that on the previous night when Jesus was on the boat and headed toward that man, the huge storm that arose wasn't just a random act of nature. It was the enemy trying to stop Jesus. This man still had greatness in him, and Jesus was determined to restore him.

Remember that the storms the enemy sends to stop your future can't withstand God's rebuke and "Peace, be still!" The storm around you may be darker than ever, but there's no storm so strong that He can't calm. God is fighting for you, pushing through forces of darkness, calming the storms, and crossing lakes just to get to you, so you will fulfill your destiny.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for rebuking the storms that are sent to stop my future and for coming to me when I couldn't come to You. Thank You for freeing and delivering me from what I could not free myself from. I believe that You never stop crossing lakes for me. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Every Need Supplied Abundantly

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 ESV

Today's Word
Sometimes religion can make you feel like it’s wrong to be blessed and have resources, but David says, “God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.” It brings a smile to God’s face to make things happen that amaze you, to increase you in ways that you’ve never imagined. It gives our heavenly Father pleasure to see you blessed. You may not see how it can happen, but that’s not your job. Your job is to believe.

You were created to live an abundant life. Today’s Scripture says that God will supply all our needs according to His riches. It doesn’t say according to your talent or your education, or if your boss likes you, or if the economy is good, or if you have the right friends. It’s not according to what you have; it’s according to what He has. The good news is, God owns it all. If He doesn’t have what you need, He can create it.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, thank You that You’re a more-than-enough God. Thank You that You take pleasure in prospering me and supply all my needs according to Your riches. I believe that You are opening doors that I can’t open and showing me favor that I didn’t deserve. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Growing Strong In Faith

No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God. Romans 4:20 ESV

Today's Word
In the Scripture, Abraham’s circumstances were beyond his control. God promised him that he would have a son, but both he and Sarah were way too old to have a child. What did he do while he was waiting? “He grew strong in faith by giving praise to God.” He got up every morning and said, “Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness. Thank You that my baby is on its way. Thank You that You are faithful to Your Word.” He kept thanking God for what he heard in his spirit, and eventually, the promise came to pass.

As with Abraham, God has put dreams in your heart. He has spoken promises over you. Deep down you believe it will happen, but in the natural, it looks impossible. The odds are against you. It’s been so long. No, God is saying, “What I started in your life I will finish.” The key is to follow Abraham’s example and praise God while you wait. That’s one way to grow in faith. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep expecting. Grow strong in faith and see His promises fulfilled in every area of your life!

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You for refining me and growing my faith. I choose to stand strong in the midst of difficulty. I choose to bless You no matter what my circumstances are. I trust that You are leading and guiding me in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake in Jesus’ name. Amen

Growing Through Difficulty

These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold… 1 Peter 1:7 NLT

Today's Word
One thing we have to realize is that God is not going to deliver us from every difficulty. He is not going to keep us from every challenge. If He did, we would never grow. The Scripture says, “Our faith is tried in the fire of affliction.” When you’re in a tough time, that’s an opportunity for your faith to shine. Anybody can get negative and bitter, blame God, or lose their passion. That’s easy. But if you want to pass the test, if you want God to take you to a new level, you cannot be a weakling. You have to be a warrior. Dig your heels in and say as the apostle Paul, “I can handle it. I’m ready for it. I’m equal to it. I know God is still on the throne. He is fighting my battles, and on the other side of this difficulty is a new level of my destiny!"

Amen.
