It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold… 1 Peter 1:7 NLT Today's Word One thing we have to realize is that God is not going to deliver us from every difficulty. He is not going to keep us from every challenge. If He did, we would never grow. The Scripture says, “Our faith is tried in the fire of affliction.” When you’re in a tough time, that’s an opportunity for your faith to shine. Anybody can get negative and bitter, blame God, or lose their passion. That’s easy. But if you want to pass the test, if you want God to take you to a new level, you cannot be a weakling. You have to be a warrior. Dig your heels in and say as the apostle Paul, “I can handle it. I’m ready for it. I’m equal to it. I know God is still on the throne. He is fighting my battles, and on the other side of this difficulty is a new level of my destiny!" Prayer for Today Father, thank You for refining me and growing my faith. I choose to stand strong in the midst of difficulty. I choose to bless You no matter what my circumstances are. I trust that You are leading and guiding me in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake in Jesus’ name. Amen.

It’s the Hand of God Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” Acts 8:26 NIV. Today's Word Philip was having great success preaching the gospel in Samaria. It must not have made sense when an angel told him to go out to that desert road, but there was a man, the treasurer of Ethiopia, traveling there in a chariot who was reading the book of Isaiah. When Philip explained to him that Isaiah was talking about how Jesus came as the Savior, the man believed, was baptized, and had his life changed forever. Like this man, because you honor God, right now there’s a Philip chasing your chariot. There are blessings that God has ordained to track you down, people who will use their influence, their knowledge, and their experience to push you forward. When you take time to put God first, to go to the house of the Lord, don’t be surprised if on your way home, if sometime this week, sometime this month, a Philip shows up—something unusual happens, an unexpected blessing. It’s the hand of God. A Prayer for Today “Father, thank You that You know where the good breaks are, the right connections, the opportunities that will thrust me into my purpose. Thank You that when I keep You first, Your goodness will rain down with blessings. I believe that destiny helpers are already on the way. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Bigger and Bigger But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. Proverbs 4:18 ESV Today’s Word God's idea is that our lives get bigger and bigger-more influence, more opportunity, more resources. But you may feel stuck. You haven't seen this happen yet, but this is a new day. Things are about to turn in your favour. If you get your hopes up and start expecting God's goodness, you're going to come into a bigger life, to a new level of your destiny. You may be in a limited environment right now that you can't change. If you see lack, dysfunction, struggle, and addictions on a regular basis, it can become ingrained in you to where you think that's the way it's supposed to be. The key is to not let the environment get in you. Don't let mediocrity become the norm. Don't live with a small mentality. Don't water down your dreams, accepting less when you know God has created you for more. Start believing bigger. Start taking steps of faith, stretching, growing, and learning. Start living larger, and God will amaze you with His goodness. Prayer for Today Father, thank You that I can begin to see myself the way You see me as living a bigger and better life. Help me to get unstuck from my limited environment and not expecting anything better. I believe that You have new horizons for me to explore and a bigger life than I am now living. Bounce-Back So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold… 1 Peter 1:6-7 NLT Today's Word Life is full of things that try to push us down. We all face disappointments and setbacks. Maybe you got bad news concerning your health, or perhaps a relationship didn't work out. Maybe you lost your job. It was a setback. When we face setbacks, it's easy to get discouraged or lose our enthusiasm. Too often we are tempted to just settle where we are. But if we're going to see God's best, we have to have a bounce-back mentality. That means when you get knocked down, you don't stay down. You get back up again. It means when disappointments come, you shake them off knowing that what the enemy meant for your harm God is going to turn around and use for your good. This is a new day. Things are changing in your favor. You need to get ready because there’s a bounce-back coming. You’re going to bounce back from sickness, bounce back from depression, bounce back from bad breaks, bounce back from loss. Keep standing, keep believing, and choose to be a bounce-back person because you are coming out better off than you were before! You are rising higher, and you will fulfill the destiny God has in store for you! Prayer for Today Father in heaven, thank You for Your grace, mercy, and favor. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favour lasts a lifetime… Psalm 30:4-5 NIV Today's Word Let this truth sink down into your spirit today: God’s favour is not for a season; it’s for a lifetime. How do we obtain God’s favour? Proverbs 3 tells us that when we honour His Word, when we obey His commands and walk in mercy and truth, that’s how we find favour in God’s sight. When we do our part, God will do His part. Today, if you are believing God for something, maybe a turnaround in a relationship, career, or your health, stand firm that God’s Word is true. When you put Him first place in your life, when you follow His commands, He promises to pour out His favour on you. When those thoughts try to tell you, “It’s not going to happen. It’s too good to be true,” turn it around and say, “Father, I want to thank You for Your favor on my life, on my children, on my career, on my future. I am Your child, and I know it’s not temporary. It’s not seasonal. It doesn’t come and go. Thank You, God, for a lifetime of favour!” Prayer for Today Father, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. He Doesn’t Need a Cloud "Is anything too hard for the Lord?..." Genesis 18:14 NIV Today's Word One beautiful, sunny day we were in the backyard enjoying the blue sky when all of a sudden, out of nowhere, it began to rain even though there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. The sun was out and very bright, but for about three minutes, there was a downpour. We thought, “Where in the world is this rain coming from?” It was like God was saying, “I can make it rain whenever I want to. I can use a little cloud, a big cloud or no cloud. I’m God. I’m the All-Powerful, Creator of the universe. When I say rain, I don’t need a cloud. When I say healing, I don’t have to use medicine. When I say promotion, I don’t need the approval of your boss. When I say abundance, I don’t need a bank. I’m not limited by the natural. I’m a supernatural God.” Whatever you are facing today, no matter what things look like in the natural, know that God has the answer. Trust Him because He can make a way where there seems to be no way. He can make something out of nothing, and He doesn’t need a cloud to make it rain! Prayer for Today Father, I praise You today because You are worthy. I trust that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf.
