ABOUT THE MTR DJ INSTITUTE

Based in Johannesburg, the MASTER T ROX DEEJAY INSTITUTE is a newly established school of deejaying. The school was founded by:

DJ MasterT Rox – an established deejay and producer within the South African music industry. The main objective of our institute is to afford aspiring deejays – both male and female – the platform and / or opportunity to hone their skills and

, in the process, ultimately make a career for themselves in this highly competitive industry. As part of our plan of ensuring that our training is relevant to the industry, we do not only stop with the basic principles of deejaying, but also offer our students the option of enrolling in our highly personalized advanced DJ training. Our basic course comprises 20 lessons which can be taken at times and / or intervals that take the individual availability of each student into consideration – that is, while students are on average expected to complete the course in 10 weeks, others can complete it in a relatively shorter or longer period. The learning areas covered are:

Introduction to deejaying
Basic skills of deejaying
Branding and brand awareness
Intellectual property
Basic principles of financial management. Upon graduation, we are confident that all our students would have been equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to sustain them and their careers as deejays not only in South Africa, but in other countries as well.
