Another update by SACAA on Exemptions (12 June 2020)
This is a summary:
1. Additional extensions to Licence expiry dates
2. Additional extensions for medicals
3. No new applications for medicals
4. In a multicrew environment, one crew member must have a valid medical certificate which is not affected by the medical exemption
5. Although lung function tests are suspended until 30 June 2020, additional requirements are stipulated
6. Writing of examinations, Bookings, Fees and Virtual training info
7. Additional extensions to Aerodrome and ATS approvals, licences, ratings, training and Examiners
8. Additional extensions and requirements to expiry dates of DG, AVSEC, CRM, SEPT, Line checks and PPC’s
9. Limitations, restrictions, requirements and risk assessments for the carriage of alcohol based hand sanitisers
10. Additional extensions for DFE’s, CDE’s and DAME’s
11. Operators crew pairing details
12. SACAA will recognise the validity of certificates and licences from other States and the temporary differences adopted , in line with COVID-19 mitigation measures
