Eish. Back home after 3 weeks away. 4 weeks without a mow. Missed my Primo app before leaving, but still the areas that were running primo are sitting at around 50mm. The patches that I never applied saw significant growth with all the rain we had! Some patches at 500-600mm tall! 😐😂

One week at a time! Definitely making headway now. Still a little thin in the middle but I hit that the hardest with the scalp, so it should be in relation to the rest. Tomorrow we hit it with some Guanoboost and then next week some post emergent to sort out some w**ds that have popped up since the scalp. So far, I’m a happy man

Another update pic. Definitely thickening up after the Reno but I don’t see the effects of PGR yet. That part should take some time, and a few mows though. This weekend I’ll Guanoboost it for stress relieve and soil conditioning, and probably apply that second dose of herbicide I never did. W**d control is excellent at the moment so I believe that first application was a success. This weekends vid will probably be along those lines, but with me, who knows😂

Nitrogen spiked PGR applied yesterday, and this afternoon we’ll mow. Not bad for a weeks recovery! Needs that tidy up mow though 😂

Now we’re sitting at a very solid 8mm/just under. This should tighten up over the next week or so.

6 days post 8mm scalp and verticut and already a full head of hair! Millions of new little grass babies showing themselves to the world. Super smooth without all the chunky kikuyu runners everywhere. I’m a happy boy! I think I’ll give it a mow this weekend if the rain gives me enough of a gap, and then it’s time for PGR and a nitrogen spike!

I’m super proud of being able to keep my lawn green throughout Autumn and Winter this year! Here’s a pic for each month since March.

And there’s another 7,5 tons of lawn dressing delivered! (5m3) Sifted Vaal bruin topsoil and chicken manure mix as usual. I’ll only change over to sand once I know I have a reasonable topsoil structure. #backyardbushveld

The lawn got a rotary mow yesterday and looking alright! I’ll probably run the new groomer through it this weekend and then top dress sometime after I see the results I want. Probably next week though. Spring is close I can almost taste it!!! #backyardbushveld

Verticut - This a turf cultivation practice which cuts vertical slits through the turf canopy, and occasionally into the soil. This process breaks up runners, removes thatch and reduces surface compaction which improves water, air and nutrient penetration into the soil.
