MATLALA POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT FOR SUSPECTS LINKED TO ROBBING A CONSTRUCTION TLB TRUCK

The Police in Ga-Matlala have launched a manhunt for suspects who robbed a construction company of a TLB (CAT) truck and white Mitsubishi double cab, both at a value of R1 650 million, as well as a firearm belonging to a security guard on Sunday night, 10 December 2023.

According to reports received by the police, it is alleged that the security guard who was on duty at Ga-Ramoshwane construction site in Matlala policing precinct was pointed with a firearm by unknown men who later tied him with cable tiers. The suspect took the security to the guard room and found other two suspects. While in there, another security guard who was out of the site, returned driving in a white Mitsubishi vehicle. The suspects then approached him and pointed him with a firearm, then tied him with cables.

They then robbed them of a TLB truck and white Mitsubishi double cab, and one firearm that was inside the vehicle and drove off. In the early hours of Tuesday, 12 December 2023, the vehicle was found abandoned at Moletji in Ga-Rapitsi village. The police are appealing to anyone with information about the incident to contact Detective Sergeant Mmalesetja Senyatsi on 076 083 6619.

A collaboration many don't know they need seems to be on the way as President ya ma 2K was spotted in a studio session with Madumane.

The video which surfaced on social media showed Lehlogonolo Chauke affectionately known as Shebeshxt in a studio session with popular South African producer, singer and songwriter Themba Sekowe known as Dj Maphorisa as they work on a new project together.

Limpopo Tribune has it on good authority that the two most loved artists in South Africa are set to release a hit song together.

[JUST IN] Orlando Pirates Football Club soccer player Thembinkosi Lorch has been handed a 3-year jail sentence, however the sentence is suspended for five years, for assaulting his ex-girlfriend Fundiswa Mathithibala. Lorch has also being ordered to pay R100 000.00 to the organization, People Opposing Women Abuse.

He appeared in the Randburg magistrate this morning and was also declared unfit to possess a firearm under the Fi****ms Control Act.

PROMINENT BUSINESSMEN, HLAKO, MAKGATO AND CO-ACCUSED SENTENCED FOR MURDER

Prominent businessmen in Limpopo province, Joshua Hlako (67), Marcus Makgatho (65) and their co-accused have been sentenced by the Polokwane High Court for the ritual murder of Ronnie Makgato, who was killed in 2006.

According to the witnesses who testified during trial, they told the court that on the day of the incident, they were with Hlako, Marcus, Mabirimisa and an unknown women wherein knives were brought into the shack, and instructions were given to kill Ronnie Makgato. The body of the deceased was then dismembered, packed, and taken to various businesses of the convicted killers to promote their business.

Judge Geriet Muller sentenced Joshua Hlako, Marcus Makgatho and Khumbelo Mabirimisa to 22 years imprisonment for the count of murder, seven years for the count of kidnapping and four years for defeating the ends of justice while Amanda Makgato was sentenced to seven years of direct imprisonment for kidnapping.

R36 BLOCKED AS VIOLENT PROTEST CONTINUES IN TZANEEN Violent protest continues to erupt in Tzaneen following a service delivery protest by angry residents of Mokgoloboto. The Greater Tzaneen Municipality warned motorists to use alternative roads as the R36 road next to Mokgoloboto village (Matafuleni) has been closed by residents.

VIOLENT PROTEST ERUPT IN TZANEEN OVER SERVICE DELIVERY Violent protest have erupted in Tzaneen following a service delivery protest by residents of Mokgoloboto and Dan. The R36 road is now open after being blocked with barricades by angry community members, however Greater Tzaneen Municipality has warned motorists to exercise extra caution as debris are still on the road. The municipality in their released statement on their social media platforms couldn't rule out the possibility of a resumption of the protest over the night. Some of the residents were running to King Monada house when the police were clearing the crowed.

TIBANEFONTEIN COMMUNITY WATCH IN SHOCK AS POLICE DIG HUMAN BODY PARTS

[WATCH] NO HUMAN BODY PARTS WERE FOUND AT MAHAFE BAR LOUNGE IN TIBANEFONTEIN Yesterday, the community of Tibanefontein in Ga-Matlala, watched in shock when the police came with Backhoe Loader to dig what is believed to be the human body parts at the popular Mahafe Bar Lounge. This comes after a businessman believed to be the owner of the tarven, is set to appear in Seshego Magistrate's Court tomorrow on 28 April 2022 for formal bail hearing. The police have arrested two businessman wherein their preliminary investigations led to the digging at different places (Seshego and Tibanefontein) where the alleged human body parts are believed to have being used for muthi purposes. The police confirmed that investigations are ongoing and their following various leads. The two businessman are charged with conspiracy to commit murder and defeating the hands of justice.

[WATCH] MALL@LEBO GAME STORE MANAGER ACCUSED OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT Defenders of the People (DOP) on Thursday, 21 April 2022 closed Mall@ Lebo's Game Store at Lebowakgomo, demanding that the manager should sign their planned strike letter set to take place on 28 April 2022. Limpopo Tribune spoke to President of DOP, Ruphus Topa Mphahlele who said "we received a complain from one of the employees of Game about the manager of Game who abuse them and want sex from female employees". "We then applied for a march on 28 April 2022 against Game however the very same manager refused to acknowledge our letter and became very rude to us, which is the reason why we closed the shop today in order for them to acknowledge the letter which they eventually acknowledged" said Mphahlele. Game is now open and operating after the manager signed and acknowledged DOP's letter. The group is set to return to Game store on 28 April 2022 at 11:00 for their official march which includes the removal of the store manager and marching to Lepelle Nkumpi Municipality, Shoprite, Boxer, Pick n Pay, Spar, Cash By abd Laduma.

Dibeng community in Ga Matlala protests

The community of Dibeng in Ga Matlala blocked the roads and closed the school demanding that Limpopo MEC for Education Polly Boshielo prioritize their children who are studying in a dilapidated school which the department declared unsafe in 2011 but did nothing afterwards. According to the community, they feel disrespected and betrayed by the MEC for what they call continuous lies from the department. One of the community leaders, Tebogo Ramolobeng told Limpopo Tribune that the department is refusing to come and hear their issues while their children are studying under falling roofs and broken school that was since built in 1959.
