Yet, so many women fall victim to this heinous act.

This Africa Month, Tshimong Talks had the privilege of facilitating a discussion with businessman and author of 'Witnessing: From the Rwandan Tragedy to Healing in South Africa', Pie-Pacifique Kabalira-Uwase. His biography details his life as a young boy in Rwanda during the Rwandan genocide in 1994 to finding refuge in South Africa and becoming a successful businessman.
Facilitated by Thami Pooe and joined by an esteemed panel at the University of Johannesburg Library, is a discussion on his book and the parallels between Rwanda and South Africa.
