*Monkey Business*
šŸ˜ŽšŸ˜ŽšŸ˜ŽšŸ˜ŽšŸ˜Ž

A lot of monkeys lived near a village.

One day a merchant came to the village to buy the monkeys.

He announced that he would buy the monkeys for Ā£100 each.

The villagers thought he was mad.

They thought how can somebody buy stray monkeys for Ā£100 each?

Still, some people caught a few monkeys and gave them to the merchant and he gave them Ā£100 for each monkey.

This news spread like wildfire and more people caught more monkeys to sell to the merchant.

After a few days, the merchant announced that he would buy monkeys for Ā£200 each.

Even the lazy villagers now ran around to catch the remaining monkeys and sold them for Ā£200 each.

Then the merchant announced that he will buy monkeys for Ā£500 each.

The villagers started to lose sleep! They caught six or seven monkeys, which was all that was left, and got Ā£500 for each one.

The villagers were waiting anxiously for the next announcement.

Then the merchant said he was going home for a week and when he returned he would buy monkeys for Ā£1,000 each.

He asked his employee to take care of the monkeys he bought.

The merchant went home and the villagers were very sad as there were no more monkeys left for them to sell at Ā£1,000 each.

Then the employee told them he will secretly sell them monkeys for Ā£700 each.

This news spread like wildfire. Since the merchant will buy monkeys for Ā£1,000 each, there is a Ā£300 profit for each monkey.

The next day the villagers made a queue near the monkey cage.

The employee sold all the monkeys for Ā£700 each. The rich bought monkeys in big lots. The poor borrowed money from money lenders and also bought monkeys.

The villagers took care of the monkeys and waited for the merchant to return.

But nobody came.

They ran to the employee.

But he had already left too.

The villagers then realised that they had bought the useless stray monkeys for Ā£700 each and were unable to sell them.

My mother died when I was 8 and my dad never remarried. When I was 21 I noticed that I was one month pregnant and ran away from home. I left a written note for my dad with my whereabouts. My boyfriend had a good job but didnā€™t want to stay with me. Although he did not want me to stay, he made sure I had everything I needed. Our romantic life changed as he started to grow distant. This had me worried. His conversations became short, and sometimes he did not come back home after work. Even though he supported me financially, I still needed his attention. After a month of staying with him, he suggested that I should have an abortion. I was shocked and I refused. I said he was not ready to start a family, but I was not going to kill my child either. One day my boyfriend received a call from his boss and left the house in a hurry. I saw his laptop and thought of downloading baby development books from the internet. His email was open, I started reading the emails. My jaw dropped when I found that my boyfriend was actually married and his wife and kids lived in the next city. I saw pictures of him and his family. As I was still in shock, I saw another email from a certain pharmaceutical company which was supplying him with a certain drug. I looked up for the drug on Google and it showed that it causes miscarriage. My throat became dry and I drank a whole bottle of water which was on the table. The next thing I remember was having a sharp pain in my abdomen and everything went dark. I woke up in a hospital 2 days later and my father was sitting next to me. The doctor came and said that I had an overdose of a certain drug which is harmful to pregnant women and I lost the baby. I then remembered the bottle of water I took which tasted funny. I explained to my dad what happened but no one believed me. My dad said that my boyfriend actually left me because I was irresponsible and a murderer. After a few days I was discharged from the hospital and went to my boyfriendā€™s place. No one was there, his phone was switched off. There was no evidence to prove that I was the victim. I went back to my fatherā€™s house. It has been a year since that incident and I still mourn the death of my unborn baby.

Hi. My name is Desmond. 12 years ago when I started high school, my momā€™s twin sister suggested that I enroll at a school near her house so that I can stay with her. My aunt has three daughters only while my mom has 4 sons and one daughter. My aunt always wanted a son that is why she was happy to take me in. My parents agreed. My aunt and cousins were all nice to me. I even got a private tutor because I struggled with Mathematics and Science subjects. I did some house work like any child could. After staying with my aunt for almost a year, I received a message from my mom saying I shouldnā€™t do anything my aunt tells me and that I should focus on my studies. I was surprised because itā€™s not like I was doing anything out of the ordinary. I began to spend more time in my room playing games or laying on the couch watching TV or out with my friends avoiding work. My aunt didnā€™t seem to be bothered by that. Another year passed and my mom came shouting at her sister that she was abusing me and starving me. My aunt replied ā€œits okay sis, you can take Des, I did my best.ā€ Deep down I knew all these allegations against my aunt were lies but I didnā€™t say anything. My mom packed my bag and we left my auntā€™s place. Guilt consumed me. I actually had a better life at my auntā€™s place. my parents struggled to pay my school fees. My grades became worse. I also started abusing drugs. My heart was longing to go back. My dad avoided that conservation with me. He became more distant and less supportive. Now I work as a cleaner at a certain restaurant and I have a family. I feel like my mom destroyed my life. Since the incident I havenā€™t talked to my aunt. I want to make this right. I know I am also responsible for what is happening to me.

My life as an Opharn.

I'm a lady happily married with a family. I want to share my story. My parents were married for 15 years without a child then God blessed them with me in their 16th year in marriage, I am an only child because they never managed to have another child after me. I was loved and cherished growing up, had the best of everything. My parents were generous so we lived with my uncle(my dad's brother) and his family, they had 2 kids both girls around my age group so we grew up together as one big happy family unit the tragic death of my parents in an accident. My world came crushing down on me when I heard the news, my parents and aunt had gone to town and a drunk truck driver crushed their car and they all died on the spot leaving me with my uncle and his 2 daughters. Since my parents had no will my uncle took everything but promised to take care of me. Life was good at first, and then he remarried. My new aunt was very horrible to me, she treated my 2 cousins well but hated me for a reason I never knew. From the day she came I was their maid, she even influenced my cousins to hate me too. I'd wake up at 5am and clean the yard, the house and cook then warm bath water for everyone, my cousins would then go to school early and I would stay behind to do dishes and prepare lunch for auntie before I go to school. I would arrive at school around break time & miss many classes, I'd also arrive late at home because I'd stay behind at school as punishment for coming late, when I get home I'd be beaten for being late. Everything will be where I left it. I'd start cooking supper, doing the lunch dishes and sleep around 12pm then wake up again at 5am. This went on for years, some days I would not even go to school because of chores. When auntie got pregnant things got worse, she'd beat me for no reason or pour cold water on my blankets in the middle of the night. My life was hell and my uncle didn't seem to notice. I failed my Oā€™level examinations because of not attending class, had one subject English, because I have always been good at it, my cousins failed too, not even a single subject from each of them. Fast forward I was sent to the rural areas to look after our grandmother who was getting old and sickly, she unfortunately died after a few months. I went to look for a job as a maid in Harare, 3 months later I was corresponding my O levels and I passed then started a secretarial course at night and when I finished my boss found me a job as a secretary in a big company that's where I met my husband. We dated for 6 months and got married. I enrolled in university and obtained my degree in business management now I'm a general manager in the same company I was a secretary years ago. Life is going great, I have 2 kids now. I heard that my uncle and his wife misused my father's wealth and they are broke now, my cousins even tried to contact me looking for jobs. I'm still debating on what to do after the way they treated me, what do you think?

It all started as harmless innocent fun until I realized I'm gay. Let me take you back a little, I'm a 45 year old man in his 10th year in marriage. I have 2 kids and a lovely wife. I am an ordinary old fashioned guy who drinks every other weekend, goes straight home from work, who doesn't like being too close with the kids because a father's supposed to be feared and I don't like acting all lovey dovey with my wife because that's for modern couples not us old folks. My wife tries to spice up our home, calling me honey, dressing up for me, wearing sexy lingerie, kissing me as I leave and come back from work, but I don't give her the time of the day. Well, for me that was all okay and normal to be old fashioned. I am in a WhatsApp group for men where people share their stories and experiences, so one of the guys shared that he sometimes like doing the deed with his wife using the other hole, the a**s. I just felt I needed to try it too. Well my wife being the wonderful woman she is and always eager to please me, she agreed. I enjoyed it more than I have ever did normally. It became an everyday thing until my wife started to complain that it hurts and she doesn't like it. That's when I decided to outsource and in the process I have found out I'm actually gay and enjoy the company of other men than women. In my culture it's taboo to be gay and I also don't like it, I have a family for crying out loud, but I can't undo what I feel or who I am, what do I do? If I leave my wife, what about my kids? This is all so complicated for me.
