Beneath December’s festive glow,
A shadow lingers, few may know.
The lights, the laughter, the sparkling cheer,
Mask dangers creeping ever near.

The streets alive with revelry,
Hide traps in joyous ecstasy.
Drinks flow free, inhibitions fade,
But choices made leave lives betrayed.

Friends are lost in fleeting nights,
To reckless games and fleeting lights.
Promises broken, hearts left cold,
As secrets buried begin to unfold.

The roads are slick with careless speed,
Dreams cut short by selfish greed.
A spark of fun, a thoughtless dare,
Can strip the season of its flair.

Wallets empty, debts run high,
As fleeting pleasures quickly die.
A moment’s thrill, a shiny toy,
Leaves echoes void of lasting joy.

So tread with care this holiday,
And guard the joy that comes your way.
For December’s light can also burn,
If wisdom’s lessons we do not learn.🥰😍🥰😍💜

Sometimes, we are so quick to trust and call people our friends, only to realize later that not everyone deserves that title. True friends uplift you, protect your secrets, and want to see you grow. But some people only stick around for what they can gain, betraying your trust when it benefits them.

It's a painful lesson, but one worth learning: not everyone who smiles at you is on your side. Protect your energy and choose your circle wisely. A small, genuine circle is better than a crowd full of pretenders.

Their actions may be weak, but eventually, many start to see through the act. Those who truly pay attention recognize the truth: trustworthiness doesn’t need to be proven or worn as a mask; it shows in consistency, honesty, and actions that speak for themselves.
