Within the Paper Route Empire camp, it’s been Key G***k who has continued building on the foundation that Young Dolph has set for him. Losing a family member like Dolph, who was G***k’s cousin-by-marriage, an early supporter of his rapping career, and rhyming partner for their Dum and Dummer albums, could set anyone back and make them quit music. But Paper Route Empire has a roster full of talent hand-picked by Dolph who has the same hunger and determination that he did. Even if G***k wasn’t ready to fulfill his destiny yet, he was groomed for success by Dolph. Last year, he floated the idea of going to acting school because music wasn’t hitting the same for him anymore. It was a hesitation that only motivated him to go harder, announcing a tour for Yellow Tape 2 and releasing the PRE5L EP on the first annual Dolph Day, a day of remembrance to honor the life of Dolph.

Time flies, as it’s been almost two decades since day one member of the defunct G-Unit, Tony Yayo dropped Thoughts Of A Predicate Felon—his sole commercially successful solo album—and almost seven years since his last mixtape.

Now, fresh from a 22-city Canadian tour, the Southside Jamaica Queens native is making a grand reemergence with The Loyal, a new 12-song LP that sees Yayo updating his sound and adapting to new energy

While it wouldn’t be accurate to describe The Loyal as a true reinvention, he spends most of the project assimilating his flow and style into the prevailing sounds of 2023 Hip Hop to surprisingly strong results.

Ma-E’s departure from SkhandaWorld and Universal Music doesn’t seem to be the end of the world for the veteran rapper.

Ma-E‘s exit from the joint record labels immediately opened fresh possibilities for the rapper, prompting an offer from Emtee. Taking to Twitter, Emtee quickly made an offer to Ma-E to join Emtee Records. “Come to Emtee records,” tweeted Ma-E.

In response, Ma-E expressed his willingness to work with the self-proclaimed Hustler. The former Teargas member made it clear to Emtee that he is ready to talk business and work together at Emtee Records. “Let’s talk business Big Hustle,” Ma-E responded

De La Soul's Maseo and Posdnuos have shared tributes to their fellow group member Trugoy The Dove following his death earlier this month.

Both tributes are written in letter form and addressed directly to the late rapper, real name David Jolicoeur. Writing via Instagram, Posdnuos said: "You were the heart of our group. You brought so much creativity, energy and passion to our music, and your influence will be felt for years to come.

"This is heavy on our hearts and minds but we are smiling and even laughing at all the great times we shared with you. As we attempt to navigate this world without you, we stand grateful and proud of all you accomplished on this earth.

"We would like to say thank you Dave for being a big brother. Thank you for being a friend. Thank you for the wise words placed in your verses. Thank you for the music you produced that is loved by so many. Thank you for never wanting to compromise the quality of our brand. Thank you for helping us become a group that will remain etched in the timeline of hip hop culture as well as the fabric of music and from now on when we perform 'Ring Ring Ring Ha Ha Hey', we will say '2-2-2-2-222 we got an angel in heaven who can talk to you'."

Also writing via Instagram, Maseo said: "Thank you so much for being in my life. Although you and I would argue like hell, we would both admit when we were wrong and totally come full circle and say, 'I love you'.

"I want to truly thank you for having the bird's-eye view of our collective vision to be a group. Before Trugoy The Dove, I met J.D. Dove aside being called Dave in 1985. I remember your mom calling you Dove, so you've always had wings, so go on and fly into the light, Merce and I will make sure your legacy is well preserved.

"On one end I'm happy you no longer have to suffer the pain of your condition but on the other hand I'm extremely upset at the fact that you're not here to celebrate and enjoy what we worked and fought so hard to achieve. Unfortunately, emcees that are in groups very rarely get mentioned, you and Merce are top tier, your contribution as emcees and song writers have inspired many to step up their game.

"Let me just end off by saying I am very content and more than reassured about our relationship as brothers because we discussed it thoroughly and solidified what is necessary just in case something happened to any of us, but who would've thought so soon when there was so much to live for."

Jolicoeur passed away at the age of 54 having been diagnosed in recent years with congestive heart failure.

Next month, De La Soul's back catalogue will hit streaming services for the first time.

N.W.A (an abbreviation for Ni**az Wit Attitudes) was an American hip hop group whose members were among the earliest and most significant popularizers and controversial figures of the gangsta rap subgenre, and the group is widely considered one of the greatest and most influential groups in the history of hip hop music

Active from 1987 to 1991, the rap group endured controversy owing to its music's explicit lyrics, which many viewed as being misogynistic, as well as to its glorification of drugs and crime. The group was subsequently banned from many mainstream American radio stations. In spite of this, the group has sold over 10 million units in the United States alone. Drawing on its members' own experiences of racism and excessive policing, the group made inherently political music. The group's members were known for their deep hatred of the police system, which has sparked much controversy over the years.

The original lineup, formed in early 1987,consisted of Arabian Prince, Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, and Ice Cube, with DJ Yella and MC Ren joining later that year. They released their first compilation album as a group in 1987 called N.W.A. and the Posse, which peaked at No. 39 on Billboard magazine's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Arabian Prince left shortly after the release of N.W.A's debut studio album, Straight Outta Compton, in 1988, with Ice Cube following suit in December 1989. Eazy-E, Ice Cube, MC Ren and Dr. Dre later became platinum-selling solo artists in their own right in the 1990s. The group's debut album marked the beginning of the new gangsta rap era as the production and social commentary in their lyrics were revolutionary within the genre. N.W.A's second studio album, Ni**az4Life, was the first hardcore rap album to reach number one on the Billboard 200 sales charts.

Rolling Stone ranked N.W.A at number 83 on its list of the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time". In 2016, the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, following three previous nominations

RIHANNA’S SUPER BOWL PERFORMANCE RECEIVES 103 FCC COMPLAINTS FOR BEING “OVERTLY SEXUAL”

According to a report from TMZ, the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show performance featuring Roc Nation songstress Rihanna was hit with 103 Federal Communications Commission(FCC) complaints for being too sexual for football viewers.

According to the report, Super Bowl watchers littered the FCC’s email with complaints about Rihanna’s performance being “pornographic”, with the lyrics and dancing being suggestive in a sexual nature.

One person in particular compared RiRi’s set to Kim Petra and Sam Smith’s sultry performance at the 2023 Grammys, saying, “I don’t care what someone worships but children shouldn’t be exposed to po*******hy and as an adult I don’t wish to see it … Where has decency gone? How about respect for others and self.” Another person in Utah said, “This year the halftime show was so indecent I had to turn off the TV because of the pornographic content.”

The “Umbrella” singer was also criticized for spreading “her ass cheek at the crack. She rubbed her pants where her l***a were three times.”Rihanna’s comeback performance was a historic one as she revealed to the world she’s expecting her second child with rapper A$AP Rocky. She also reportedly earned over $350K in song royalties after the show due to a massive increase in streaming. According to a report from Apple Music, the day after the Sueor Bowl, Rihanna’s worldwide listeners on the streaming service jumped by a whopping 331%.

LOGIC DROPS HIS EIGHTH STUDIO ALBUM ‘COLLEGE PARK’

https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLN78Io1HMotpHUMMirw348TjiZvjsxMvy

Logic, the Grammy-nominated rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer, has released his much-anticipated eighth studio album, College Park.

Logic has teased this album with singles like “Wake Up,” “Paradise II” with Norah Jones, “Highlife,” which includes a video made by actor and filmmaker Kevin Smith, and “Lightsabers,” which he played on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week.

College Park depicts Logic’s journey to date while also marking a new beginning. The album’s title is a tribute to the Maryland town where he spent a year sleeping on a couch in his friend Big Lenbo’s basement and waking up every morning to write and record raps. In College Park, Logic creates an autobiographical yarn as he recounts a day in his life in 2011, culminating with his first-ever live performance in Washington, D.C.
