This is how I am feeling!!

I had to find this picture from my archives as it can best describe how I am feeling.

Nothing happened, I have had an ordinary day, and so many things are not going according to plan, kuyaphasalaka but Man, God is good!!

I am rejoicing because today, I am not blaming God like other days, Today I am convinced that this hard season won’t kill me.

I believe it from my core that God is using and will continue using what the enemy meant for evil for my Good 😊

That is why I had to document today. It’s different, I like here, a lot

Just in case nobody has reminded you lately.

You have got what it takes, period‼️

You just have to let that be your point of departure.

Motherhood is beautiful. But let’s be real—postpartum? It can be hard.

My body, after carrying two beautiful souls into this world, isn’t what it used to be. The stretch marks, the softer tummy, the extra weight in places that didn’t exist before… they’ve made me feel disconnected from the person I once knew in the mirror.

I’ve had days where I haven’t felt beautiful, wondering if I’ll ever feel good in my own skin again. Days where I’ve stood in front of the mirror, picking apart every change, trying to remember the body I used to love. The struggle is real, mama, and if you’re feeling it too, know you’re not alone. ❤️‍🩹

But here’s the thing: this body gave me life. It carried, nurtured, and brought my girls into this world. It’s a warrior’s body.🦋 Yet somehow, society makes us feel like we should “bounce back,” like we should erase the marks that tell the story of the lives we created. But what if I don’t want to “bounce back”? What if this new version of me is just as worthy, just as powerful, just as beautiful?

Loving my postpartum body hasn’t been easy. In fact, I’m still learning. I’m failing forward - with each day, I’m choosing to be kinder to myself. I’m learning to appreciate the softness that held my daughters safe, the strength that carried me through sleepless nights, and the resilience that keeps me showing up for myself and for them.

To all the mamas struggling to find their footing in this new body, I see you. I feel you. And I want you to know: you are more than enough, just as you are.*

Let’s give ourselves grace. Let’s honor our journeys. Let’s love our bodies not for what they used to be, but for everything they’ve given us.

One day at a time, I’m learning to love this body again. And I hope you do too. 💪🏽❤️

Year 32 hit me hard.

I often found myself trapped in a spiral of “Why is this happening to me?” The weight of it all left me feeling overwhelmed, defeated, and questioning my strength. In search of answers, I turned to a therapist, hoping for profound wisdom to fix everything. His advice? “Discipline your thoughts, Busi.”

At first, I felt let down—could it really be that simple? But as time passed, I realized how powerful those words were. Our thoughts shape our reality, mamas. If we let them spiral out of control, they can drag us into dark places. But when we take charge of them, we can see the beauty, even in the parts of life we wish had played out differently.

One day, I heard a podcast that stopped me in my tracks: “Life is not happening to me, it’s happening for me.” It hit deep. That shift in perspective changed everything. I’m no longer bitter—I’m getting better. 💪🏽

As moms, we wear so many hats and carry so many burdens. It’s so easy to get lost in the chaos. But don’t forget—the most powerful tool you have is your mindset. Choose to see the beauty in your life, and watch how even the hardest moments turn into opportunities for growth. 🌱

You deserve to not just survive, but thrive. 💖

Mom win🥇:

I made it from church with both my earrings on and just a tiny stain on my top.

Maybe I should have worn my pink heels 👠 as I had planned, even though I might have changed into flats with all the up and down we do with our kiddos as moms in church.

Wouldn’t change a thing though 🙂

You are doing much better than you think you are.

Take the time to look back at how far you have come and you will be filled with so much gratitude.

You might not be where you want to be but if you are not where you were some time ago, you’ve got something to be grateful for.

Now repeat after me, “I am doing better than I give myself credit for”
