Breaking news

The resolution of the meeting that was held today at popo molefe stadium concerning electricity was the following
All schools must close tomorrow.

Community has not yet received a document from municipality to be assured that capacity is back permanently.

No learner must go to school tomorrow.

Kokosi residents has suffered enough about electricity and what happened yesterday on 12 of may 2023 is a clear sign that fochville town and Kokosi township will never be united. Residents of Kokosi were shot and were injured by white people who were wearing brown shorts and brown shirts and also there are linked audios from security companies of fochville on whatsapp groups were they were communicating that residents of fochville must come with shot guns to dispense Kokosi residents.

As THETHA MAKHI CIVIC ORGANIZATION We have received a complain from a resident who is Mr Johannes Nhlapo who stays in 2743 ext 03 in Ward 25 who has no electricity for 6 months until today, according to the information, He told us, he informed Cllr Lucky Mayilebe about his situation until today he still stay in the darkness, He was advised by the very same Cllr Lucky Mayilebe to apply for indigent subsidy which he did even today nothing happened. it embarrassing that a resident who voted for him to be a Cllr today,has to suffer like this, it is clear that Cllr Lucky Mayilebe he is not prepare to serve residents of Ward 25 while he was voted to be a Cllr. It is difficult for Mr Johannes Nhlapo to cope as is he is unemployed to live without electricity, because he can't even afford to buy paraffin. Cllr Lucky Mayilebe does not even care how Mr Johannes Nhlapo is coping without electricity. Each month Cllr Lucky Mayilebe received a salary with x of Mr Johannes Nhlapo who is today suffering.

All Wards hosted their meetings on the 27 April 2022 about the issue of electricity, but what is surprising is kokosi on extension 06 is left out, according to information we received ext 06 is part of Ward 22 but it was not invited to their ward meeting , community of ext 06 is worried about what is happening , questions their asking them self why Cllr of Ward 22 who Motlalepule mankunase phenduka treat them like their are not part of the Ward 22. What is shocking is that community of Ward 22 they are asking them selves questions why the meeting of Ward 22 was not presented by Cllr who is Motlalepule mankunase phenduka while she was there in the meeting, according to the information we received Cllr delegated person to present of behalf of her about the issue of electricity in the community meeting, the question is Cllr phenduka does she has capacity to handle her own meeting of the ward. All Wards Cllrs presented their item of electricity, beside ward 22 because now community of 22 ask questions who is Cllr between them.

Criminal are taking advantage about electricity load reduction 7 houses in ext 03 has been affected by house breakings due to lack of electricity and ext 04 also affected by this , community kokosi are warned to be careful during the night when is electricity is gone , because clearly the starts of crime is increasing due to electricity. Although now many people realized that they have make a mistake not supporting the march that was organised last time ago. And still others who feels like that march was not needed

Kokosi residents has to accept that their lifehood has changed since the municipality implement a hard decision to them

And at this time this problems their facing has increased crime in kokosi , many people are complaining about house breakings because of this issue of electricity. Reality people of kokosi are really suffering about this issue of electricity.
*Schools are affected
*Local business are affected
*NPO,s that are assisist people are affected
* Churches are affected
What is surprising is that even pay points of municipality that supposed to be open for people to pay services are suffering too. On other side Many people are saying when THETHA MAKHI CIVIC ORGANIZATION marched about this issue of electricity other residents of Kokosi criticize this organization, that they want to go to work, other said who said we want to do Toi Toi, others complain that this march is disturbing their businesses, but the reality the worst is coming for kokosi residents, we have also received the information that municipality took a decision that ,if you have a problem

*Electrical problem in your house
If you report them ,they check first if you pay services and if you don't pay they won't come.
