Dear Readers, Subscribers, and Community
It is with a mixture of gratitude and bittersweet emotion that we announce the end of Coastal Voice as a regular publication. After much thought and reflection, we have made the difficult decision to pause our publication, marking the end of this chapter in our journey.
Over the past 10 months, Coastal Voice has been a platform to celebrate the triumphs, the stories, and the spirit of our vibrant community. We have had the privilege to share your successes and highlight the struggles you’ve faced—stories of resilience, perseverance, and hope. Your voices have been the heartbeat of this publication, and for that, we are deeply grateful.
To everyone who contributed, whether through sharing personal stories, offering insights, or providing feedback, we thank you. It’s your passion and courage that have made Coastal Voice a meaningful and impactful part of the community. We are proud of the connections we have built and the conversations we have sparked along the way.
While this chapter of Coastal Voice is coming to a close, we want to emphasize that the journey is far from over. We are not saying goodbye entirely. The vision of Coastal Voice—to connect, inspire, and inform—remains strong, and we will continue to explore new ways to engage and contribute to the community in the future.

As we wrap up this exciting chapter of Coastal Voice, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has contributed to our community publication. Your stories of commitment, passion, and perseverance have been a true inspiration. From tales of individuals overcoming challenges to the environmental treasures our region holds. Your contributions have painted a vibrant picture of what makes East London so special.
Through these stories, we’ve witnessed the incredible drive of local residents, the powerful impact they’ve made, and the difference they’ve brought to our community. From unsung heroes to environmental advocates, every contribution has made this publication richer, more diverse, and full of hope.
As we take a brief break to recharge, we’re excited for what’s to come. Coastal Voice will be back on 1 February 2025, bigger and better than ever. With new features, inspiring stories, and more opportunities to share the voices of East London.
