Good day everyone

My name is Matilda Kokera , 19 years of age. I grew up in Lotus River , Phumlani village (informal settlement ) who's dream is to become the first South African female to represent the country at the Olympic Games.
As some of you might know I'm a amateur wrestler. I've been wrestling now for the past 7 years and has been victorious throughout. I'm a 9× South- African Champion as well as a 9× Western - Province champ.
I've represented the country internationally at African Championships in Johannesburg as well as in Morocco, Casablanca in 2022. I'm currently the best female wrestler in the country in my weight category. I've been selected to represent the country at the African Continental Championships (u20 50kg) as well as the African and Oceania Olympic Games Qualifier event (seniors 50kg) taking place from the 14-19 and 22-24 March 2024 in Alexandria , Egypt .
The estimated cost is R57 000,00 and represents the costs for airfare, accommodation, local transport , team clothing , competition license and insurance . As you can imagine , the cost of participation is a major barrier for many of us which can only be overcome through the generosity of sponsors willing to offer us support in achieving our dreams.
