The woman without a father.
The world celebrated father's day on Sunday (yesterday). We appreciate the role fathers play in our lives. It's not just paying the bills. It's far more than that. Security, stability, boundaries, competitiveness, love, self-worth, confidence and more.
However, not all women get the chance to have a father and there are many reasons for that. The impact of his absence are so big and usually, it becomes evident as she grows up. Research shows that kids with absent fathers don't do as well in school. For girls, they struggle in relationships. They tend to gravitate towards older men because they are subconsciously looking for their father in these men.
Have you heard the term daddy issues? The father wound is complex and it takes a lot of thought and conversations with the right people to get to the bottom. If your father wasn't around for whatever reason, we hope that you have support that you need.

Wanna Holiday Like Pearl Thusi? It’s August already and in no time, the holidays will be here. Throughout the year, we’ve seen some of our favourite celebs going for vacations and snapping it all away. Recently, we were treated to some delightful pictures of Pearl Thusi’s holiday in Mozambique. How can you live it up in your holiday like the Queen Sono actress? 1. Plan Early Vacations begin long before you are at the bus terminal or airport. It starts with preparations. The way you prepare determines how enjoyable things will be. Narrow down your destinations, check your budget, length of holidays and all the nitty gritty. 2. Schedule Activities What’s the point of going on a vacation if you are just going to stay in your hotel room? Well, then schedule lots of activities. If you schedule, you’ll use your time wisely. 3. Do The Unusual Things Amongst the things you want to do are the things you don’t often do. This is to spice up things and get you out of your comfort zone. 4. End On A High The end of a vacation is remembered more than the beginning. Schedule the big event or activity at the end. If it’s a dinner or a purchase, do it at the end. 5. Make Time For Rest Vacations can be hectic so don’t use all up your days. Spare a few days for rest after you get back. This will help you manage your return to work and organise yourself. Is He About To Propose? Podcast & Chill host MacG's proposal to her longtime girlfriend Naledi might have left you wondering whether your better half is about to pop the question. Can you really tell? Some signs he might just be thinking about it. 1. He keeps hinting at it in your conversations. He might ask you hypothetical questions about proposals. What your friends did or what you thought about it. 2. He may, again hypothetically ask you what you'd want or like in a proposal because he's looking for clues. 3. He's hanging around jewellery shops more often than he's ever had. 4. He's seriously thinking and talking a lot about your marriage life. 5. He sometimes acts weirdly around you. While this doesn't always mean he wants to propose, it is a signal that he's probably looking for ways to pull it off. 6. He seems surprisingly nervous around you. When was the last time he was nervous and breathing in and out? When he was asking you to be his girl, right? If that feeling is creeping back in, then he might be about to pop the question. 7. We know that he can wax lyrical about you but if he rumps that up in a matter of weeks, and he's all romantic and cute, he might be up to something. He's probably setting the mood. 8. He keeps asking you about your plans because he wants to get a date and the best time he can organise a trip somewhere.
