Relive the thrill of Las Vegas as Swingin’ Las Vegas pays homage to the music of the stars over the past few decades who have made Vegas... Vegas!
Audiences will delight in the music of Elvis, Frank Sinatra and The Rat Pack, Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones to modern-day stars Michael Bublé, Robbie Williams, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Kool & the Gang and more.
The 18-piece Johannesburg Big Band will take audiences on a musical journey of pure nostalgia, through the life and times of Swingin’ Las Vegas.
The show features home-grown stars Craig Urbani, Corlea, Timothy Moloi and Harry Sideropoulos performing classics such as Fly Me To Moon, Mack The Knife, Rolling in the Deep, Valerie, Quando, Quando, Quando, Big Spender and many more and will soon have your toes a’tappin’ and arms a’swayin’ to the instantly recognisable hits.
Swingin’ Las Vegas will be on stage at The Teatro, Montecasino for 8 performances only, spanning two weekends in July; from 12 - 21 July 2024.
Performances are Fridays at 19h30, Saturdays at 14h00 & 19h30, Sundays at 14h00

2024 marks Vodacom’s 30th birthday and 30 years since the birth of our democracy. Howard Audio is thrilled to have been the team responsible for sound design and final mix for Vodacom’s latest advertising campaign. The scenes that embody Vodacom’s message are bound by the original track of Louis Armstrong singing “What a Wonderful World”.
Having the licence to use the original iconic track, we had to edit the classic song carefully. We even used the latest AI technology to remove Louis from the track for a moment or two - then brought him back! The Louis Armstrong Foundation approved - and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
Big shout out to VML and Tebogo Malope of The Star Film Company who brought this film to life. Here’s to the next 30 years of helping Mzansi experience a wonderful world.

We’re so excited to announce (finally!) something we’ve been cooking up with Maestra Ofentse Pitse and the King of the Amapiano genre Kabza De Small - Red Bull Symphonic!
For the first time in South Africa, Kabza De Small, Ofentse Pitse and a Symphonic Orchestra are collaborating to deliver a unique musical experience. Howard Audio has been working closely with Ofentse over the past year on events and clients ranging from Netflix, Alicia Keys and CHANEL.
We’re responsible for overseeing the 17 full orchestral arrangements of Kabza’s biggest hits including Khusela, Abalele, Thula Nana and many more. Including curating the 33 piece orchestra which has traditional African instruments - it’s great to know we have the team of Bryan Schimmel and David Cousins with us as we chase the deadlines.
Tickets went on sale yesterday and sold-out in 5 hours. Trying to think of an orchestral concert that has sold-out so quickly in our 26 year career - maybe when Pavarotti came here 19 years ago.
Ofentse Pitse with her orchestra collaborating with Kabza De Small is a vision realised of what we wanted our collaboration to be.

Such a lovely event last week - in the middle of the sand dunes in Namibia! - as Adam Howard was musical director once again for a prestigious Toyota event. A stunning venue to play at - and even better is that Adam got to perform with the best of the best accompanied by Ard Matthews and Graeme Watkins….the stuff dreams are made of. The fact that they are all best mates made this weekend even better. Thanks to Inhouse Productions for being the best clients ever :)

The prestigious CreativeCircle Annual Awards were held last night at a glittering event in Sandton. To be named one of the monthly award winners is an achievement in itself and all those winners get considered for the overall annual awards. We are absolutely blown away as Howard Audio was the audio force behind 4 awards last night!
Promise and PPS wins first in the Integrated Campaign category for "Finding the Forgotten Graduate"! Howard Audio was responsible for over 40 minutes of original music and sound design on a project that inspired us to deliver something special.

Boomtown and A Million Girls Foundation picked up first place in the Radio and Audio Campaign category. We are so proud of our head of audio Paul Theodorou who crafted the hell out of this with Thule Ngcese! The same campaign also picked up first prize in the Mza'taal category. IsiXhosa is our second language here at Howard Audio, so this one means a lot!

Howard Audio is very proud to have been the full turnkey audio solution in final mix and sound design in stereo and 5.1 surround for IN BLOOM, as we attended the upcoming release and launch of the project last night. A unique anthology of five compelling short films spanning countries and cultures, IN BLOOM delves into the complexities of gender issues following characters on the brink of life defining moments, by choice or circumstance. The collection tells unheard stories addressing a range of crucial issues including period poverty, child marriage, gender-based violence, HIV self-stigma, family planning and women’s economic empowerment. We are honoured to be part of such an initiative to help bring awareness and play our role as change makers. IN BLOOM will officially release on channels BET , MTV, and MTV BASE on the 8th of March in celebration of International Women’s Day, followed by its online release on the 9th of March onwards. Huge thank you to our clients at Diprente and Khulking Media for trusting us with this amazing project.
Just heard the devastating news that Robert Schroder has passed away.
What an amazing man he was - a mentor to so many composers - myself included. The number of times I went to see Rob to ask for his sage advice - he was always there for other musicians and composers. I started working as a session musician for Rob in the early 2000’s - and seeing and hearing his work on commercials inspired me immensely.
Our deepest sympathy Miguel, Candy Andrew and the Schroder family...he will be remembered not only for being the most prolific composer for our advertising industry in a career spanning decades - but also for what an amazing human being he was. He was still at the top of his game in my eyes.
I'll miss our chats about music, raw foods and Manchester United! RIP Rob - you will be sorely missed by all of us...
The CreativeCircle SA Awards results for November and December are out and we’re thrilled that Howard Audio features in three awards…
A first place award for Integrated Campaign goes to Promise Agency and PPS for “The Forgotten Graduate”. Howard Audio composed all the original music (all 40 minutes of it!) and crafted the sound design and final mix for this very special project.
In second place in the same category is Halo and Capital Legacy for “Where there’s no will….” Howard Audio crafted the radio spots for the campaign.
And last but not least another second place in the Radio & Audio category for Boomtown and Wimpy for “Lost in translation”. We loved crafting the spots in isiXhosa, isiZulu, Setswana and Afrikaans for this campaign.

Such an honour to welcome PJ Morton back to Studio Immersive last week inbetween his busy touring schedule with Maroon 5. Recorded and mixed by Reginald Nicholas Jr , his next album was all made in Africa and we must be good luck charms as they picked up yet another Grammy on Sunday for Best Traditional RnB Performance - Good Morning feat. Susan Carol'. Way to go PJ!
The Loerie Awards happened in Cape Town last year where Howard Audio had its name on no less than 21 finalists, two Campaign Craft Gold Loeries, a Campaign Craft Bronze and a craft certificate. We always say awards mean nothing…until you win one (or a few!).
With the official Loeries rankings now released, we are very proud to have been recognised consecutively for over a decade. This year we find ourselves being ranked the number #3 recording studio for audio and radio across Africa and the Middle East. It is an amazing achievement to even be mentioned in the rankings, so this year we wear our bronze metal with pride.

Howard Audio has launched into 2024 with a multitude of exciting projects, ranging from TV and radio final mix to music session recordings. Today is a special day as we move Alicia Mkhize for the first time (our Yamaha C3 Grand Piano!) into the live room over at Studio Immersive for tomorrow's recording session with Keenan Meyer. We think she looks just grand there!
Howard Audio is proud to announce film - “Runs in the Family” premiered on Netflix last Thursday the 30th of November. Howard Audio was in charge of all post production sound.
“Runs In The Family” follows a reformed con artist and his transgender son on a road trip across South Africa to break his ex – the estranged mother – out of rehab and return in time for a drag competition that could win the boy his gender-affirming surgery. The film stars seasoned UK actor Ace Bhatti (Bohemian Rhapsody) opposite the writer-actor, Gabe Gabriel, who are joined by household names Diaan Lawrenson (7de Laan) and Rob Van Vuuren (Ludik, The Umbrella Men) and a handful of familiar film, stage, and TV faces.
Working closely with director - Gabriel and composer Charl-Johan Lingenfelder - head of audio here - Paul Theodorou crafted the film's audio, assisted by Thanduxolo Magwaza. Brought to you by Giant Films, Fae Pictures, Indigenous Film Distribution, National Film and Video Foundation and Netflix.

A full team effort as our Head Of Audio Paul Theodorou handled all aspects for the winning radio spot for Boomtown and a Million Girls Foundation. With Adams music and Paul’s sound design for PPS’ The Forgotten Graduate and both picking up Golds at the The Loeries recently we couldn’t be more proud of these awards that reflect the many facets of Howard Audio.
