One more for JJ!
After the popularity of River Boat Song, we have decided to pay “Another Token” of our esteem to the great JJ Cale! This song will be appearing on the forthcoming Another Token album by @oslu_blues 🎸🎸
The next track we have produced for OSLU’s ‘Another Token’ is a modern examination of Ski-ing which originally appeared on the film soundtrack of Wonderwall. A chaotic guitar piece with an Indian flavour, Ski-ing marked one of the first collaborations between Eric Clapton and George Harrison.
Here’s a small preview!...
Don’t forget to add Happy New Year by OSLU to your Christmas playlist this year! xx
Happy New Year by OSLU
Out now, Happy New Year by OSLU is a festive single taken from the upcoming blues album, Chasing The Kings.
Track list :
1) Happy New Year
2) Albert
"Happy New Year" is a slight off-shoot of blues, paying homage to the jazz crooners from the Great American Songbook (Michael Buble eat your heart out!)
The second track, "Albert", continiues on the piano theme. The boogie-woogie style of Albert makes this tune a certain family favourite for the Christmas period!
Both tracks contain completely original music.
Available on ALL digital platforms now - don't forget to add Happy New Year by OSLU to your Christmas playlist this year!
Today is practice day! Can you guess which Eric Clapton cover will be appearing on OSLU’s Chasing The Kings album?!
Anybody going to see Paul McCartney play in Liverpool this December? Here is an early look at Andy putting together a Paul McCartney cover for recording on the upcoming Chasing The Kings album by OSLU (unusually, this video contains vocals!). Please excuse our recoding location. As Macca says himself – ‘everything sounds better in the bog’!

We’ve been back in the studio today, tinkling the ivories! We’ve now completed the first track of the new album, ‘Chasing The Kings’, by OSLU. This track is a piano solo, and is called ‘Albert’, after the legendary boogie player, Albert Ammons! 🎹🎺
