On the set of the film in 2002, Misty Mundae explained why she made this film about herself and fellow naturally beautiful (no fake breasts or plastic surgery, and they don't shave off their p***c hair) actresses during an interview. "The whole philosophy behind it was that we felt that despite the fact that we're not like the generic blonde-haired, breast-augmented actresses that you might see in adult cinema--and a lot of times we feel that we lose work because of that--that it works both ways, because a lot of people respect the fact that we are exactly what we are. We don't need excessive makeup or plastic surgery. We can more than make up for that with our natural beauty and our talent. So our movie emphasizes that, despite the fact that we might not be most people's idea of what an adult entertainer would be. I'm not saying I'm above it. I'm just saying that we're different and a lot of people respect us for it."

"William Mishkin is one of the more significant figures in the history of the American sex-exploitation genre. A showman who specialized in sensational marketing campaigns (often masking less than sensational films), Mishkin might be credited with having invented a taste for salacious celluloid before such film fare actually existed.....Typical of Mishkin releases, however, The Sexperts really earned back its bankroll during its New York outing. Opening at 49th Street’s fabled World Theatre – the Big Apple’s premiere venue for upper-scale sleaze - the picture ran for nearly 18 straight weeks before finally yielding late in November. Although certainly not a record for a Mishkin feature – some of his later releases, especially those he produced with exploitation legend Andy Milligan, endured for six months to a year at a single New York venue – the film’s four and a half month run at the World certainly netted the distributor many times his negative cost as well as additional bragging rights.

A rare novelization of the film with numerous production stills was also published in 1965 by Merit Books, perhaps the first tie-in of its type in the sexploitation firmament."

Restored by the collaborative team of Something Weird Video and Pop Cinema, this trailer is the only known film element of Barry Mahon's 1967 feature film F***y Hill Meets Dr. Erotico. (The feature film is still lost to time.)

The restoration team has been diligently restoring the Barry Mahon library of films with the intention of releasing Mahon's films in the near future.

F***y Hill Meets Dr. Erotico is near and dear to our hearts because it stars the late Michael R. Thomas as "The Monster". Although Michael is best known for his make-up on SNL, The Wiz. The Sopranos, and other A-list productions, in Alternative Cinema / Pop Cinema’s orbit, he’s known as the special effects artist (and actor) in such low-budget films as Shock-O-Rama, Bite Me and Play-Mate of the Apes.
