YOU HAVE BEEN AFFECTED BY WAR MORE THAN YOU KNOW
Were you born after 1945?
Then you've been fortunate enough (like me) to enjoy relative peace. Now a major war is sure to affect the world once again. But did you know there is a war "for your mind and heart"?
Since 1975, an inscription on the 'Isaiah Wall' at the United Nations reads: "they will learn war no more." This quote is taken from the prophetic book of Isaiah 2:2 and the author definitely wants to win your mind and heart!
But "the wicked one who controls the whole world (1 John 5:19)" also wants to win your mind and heart.
Do you know the difference?
While you see evidence of how "man has dominated man to his injury (Ecclesiastes 8:9)," those who have listened to their conscience show evidence of how world peace can be achieved.
For example, some have made the decision not to participate in war even if it means prison time! Would you agree that the effort needed to make such a decision is powerful?
The same source of power will help you cope with individual concerns and meet basic needs: "What do I eat. What do I wear (Matthew 6)?" etc. But if your heart has already been won in favor of war, materialism, and apathy, there is still hope. Why?
It’s because you still live at a time of relative peace. A legal precedent was set long ago when Moses, on behalf of Almighty God, said to King Pharaoh, "for this very reason I have kept you in existence: to show you my power and to have my name declared in all the earth (Exodus 9:16)." Time is of the essence.
Who would you like to win your mind and heart?
Soon the "war of the great day of God the Almighty (Revelation 16:14)" will put an end to all unjust human suffering forever. For "nations will have to know that I am Jehovah (Ezekiel 39:7)."
Those educated in the way of peace "will inherit the earth (Matthew 5:5)." Beloved ones who have passed in death will be welcomed back (John 5:29) and so much more! It all starts with "taking in knowledge (John 17:3)" which will only require your time, and effort.
The value you will receive is greater than precious metal (Proverbs 2).
